Thanks for the reply! You’re post is a bit bittersweet – that my card should be good enough, but it may be buggy. Hopefully with more information this can get resolved. My budget is around $130.00.
Here are more of my specs:
Windows Edition: Windows 10 Pro
Processor: AMD Phenom™ 9950 Quad-Core Processor 2.60 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Pen and Touch: No Pen or Touch input is available for this Display
I’m not trying to get the top possible picture or FPS, I think I could be happy with 60% or more. I want it to be good enough to enjoy the scenery and character art in this beautiful game.
As a side note, I ran the GeForce Experience to optimize for GW2, and on the optimized settings it gave, my computer was crashing. Not sure if that means anything.
I’m pretty new to being a gamer and know next to nothing about video cards. My current card is a GeForce GTX 580 v364.72 and to keep my computer from crashing I have to run the game at the highest performance setting, which is terrible to look at.
The minimum specs suggests a GeForce 7800, but most of what I see around are the 700-900 series. From what I can see, the 7800 is in the price range of the 980, but seems a lot older.
I’m running on a budget, and so my question is, would a GTX 750 Ti be a good buy on a budget that meets the minimum requirements, or is there something more affordable that would run the game comprably?
