Morning Lovelies!

Just a small bump to let everyone know that we are opening our doors to recruitment again!

We paused briefly about 2 weeks ago because our influx of new members was gaining speed and we wanted to give everyone time to get to know each other.

However, we’ve decided that now is a good time to welcome some new folks! If you love PVE, making friends, using voice chat, and want to be somewhere where everyone knows your name/makes fun/loves to group… then we are that place!

Hello lovelies <3

Giving my small thread a little bump. I like to post about once a year, around Christmas time, for those folks who enjoy this kind of piano/voice-music-creation-thing.

I haven’t done anything new since my Ventari’s Tablet composition, [mainly because I work and do school full time], but I’ve had my eye on some things since Heart of Thorns released. We shall see!

We are now Level 11 and have our GUILD PORTAL!

Thank you so much to our awesome guildies. We are definitely on track (come Thanksgiving) to have the most fun, kitten group of raiders this side of Maguuma Jungle!

[Soul] just completed our Guild Tavern and Guild Mine. We are now quickly working on upgrades. The guild hall is alive and well!

Guild missions are scheduled for this Saturday night, 7pm CST! If you are looking for a warm, friendly place to kick back, have a beer, and do some casual PVE content, we’d love to have you.

This is a really great place to be. We are super small, but that’s because we’re only looking to recruit enough good souls to do raiding. We want to be a tight-knit family and we are well on our way. I composed an original song last night using the lyrics from Ventari’s Tablet. If you are at all familiar with the song “Fear Not This Night” you’ll notice I used a small theme from that as the introduction. I figured the Pale Tree and Ventari should be linked, if only briefly

Hey there fellow GW2’ers!

Back around Christmas 2012 I arranged a piano/vocal version of “Fear Not This Night”, wrote the piano accompaniment into standard notation, and recorded it on Soundcloud.

About a year later, I also arranged an SATB a cappella version.

I linked everything in a post those 2 years ago, but with the forum re-organization it looks like I can’t access it (or find the thread) anymore.

So for those of you who are interested, I’m posting again.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve never thought about doing a choral version before, but what a phenomenal idea! It will probably take me about 2 months, but I would love to give it a shot. Singing is actually my forte, and I’ve been in choirs since I was a kid, so this will be a project really close to home.

I tried to model it as closely as I could to the original soundtrack, but of course adapted for piano instead of string orchestra/choir/piano. So if you’ve listened to the original recording for any length of time, let me know if you think it sounds like it!

I humbly present to you my arrangements of “Fear Not This Night”. I began with a voice and piano version and have now developed a choral version. I hope that any of you out there who can read music, will enjoy this as much as I did.

I have finished the SATB version. Sorry it took me so long. I took about an 8 month break. It took me only 4 weeks to arrange this. It’s technically for SSATBB. You will need Soprano I’s who can float a high A (A5) and Bass II’s who can sing a low E (E2). I recommend this piece be done by at least an intermediate choir.

I say that it’s “still in progress” because, unlike the piano/vocal arrangement, I don’t actually have a choir at my disposal to test this out. So all of my listening has been through Sibelius. I will probably modify many things if I ever hear it done with a live choir. So until then, this is what you get.

Hey Everyone! Thought I’d share some love:

I joined Cynical about 2 weeks ago and can happily say that I’ve never looked back. This is a great group of people – extremely active website, always a large chunk of people online in off hours, wonderfully organized WvW, events going every night and a supportive and active leadership. People are friendly in mumble and as long as you’re willing to give of you’re time, you will definitely be appreciated. Glad they moved over to TC or else I never would have found them!
