Why do necros get nearly double our base health?

Elementalist is one of the tankiest classes in the whole entire game in sPvP. Once you figure out water combo fields blast and switching to water wipes most condis you end up healing like 4k every 4-6 seconds. not counting the heal skill, as well as condi wiping.

“DPS” ele Sept/dagger replaces the Thief roamer many times in competitive play actually. roaming in with 25 stacks of might from blasts = big damage and large room for defense.

Elementalists are all about blast combo finishers, necros have no where as much healing/condi removal as an ele, it’s why they need stats.

[sPvP Khlyo Bug] Elixir gun skill "Super Elixir" fails when used at CT

Location: sPvP Khylo Map, center point.

Issue: When using Super Elixir on the mid point “Clock Tower” on khlyo the skill falls through the floor and gives no effect. (a few other projectiles like grenades have a similar effect of falling through the mid point floor, though to less of an effect.)

How to repeat: Use elixir gun skill “super elixir” Mid point “Clocktower” on Khlyo, many other skills with similar projectile properties have similar abnormal effects when passing/hitting the clock tower center point.

I know Anet keeps logs of all AH/Gem market interactions.

I figured if there are others who have a similar issue they could use this topic to get visibility to this issue and help judge how wide spread this issue is again.

Information Format:
I had purchased the 10 pack of “Mystic Forge Stones” for 450 gems. at around 12pm-1pmPST, my order is listed as a recent purchase, I have yet to receive a mail as of 3:06PM PST, My mail inbox isn’t full.

Hope to see the game be the bestest.

EDIT: it’s now 5pm PST still nothing. Anyone else getting this issue?

What to do against a group of 5 guardians?

Hi everyone!

The approach to winning vs many guardians is the sPvP tactic is overloading. Defensive guardians have a very hard time resolving fights so fighting on top of a taken point is extremely hard for them, also aside from taking GS + retreat or staff Guardians have poor mobility as well making assaulting/reinforcing for them difficult.

If they are playing a bunker 2 point game. Take your back point, then overload the point with the fewest guardians, a group of 4 will take out 3-1 guardians with good consistency.

Bringing tools like boon stripping, CC for their books, and team stability will greatly assist as well.

I’m going to keep this concise. I think that the issues with necro stem from it’s traits being very limited, it’s profession mechanic being incredibly weak for conditions (aside from the fear effectively making yourself into a 0 output brick. it’s just a stalling mechanic and necro is out shined in the power role due to lack of trait synergy and lack of powerful weapon options

1. Example of bad trait synergy:

Heres a cool example Spite, the power trait line is….well I’m trying to word it nice but it’s total trash. You are a great dev and I don’t need to explain how removing a condition on kill is a bad idea to take or 50% more damage on down is silly.

2. Death shroud is the reason necro power doesn’t work (well).
Death shroud right now is just an extra health bar, currently I hop in and out of DS like it’s another dodge roll bar. I have no decent reward for spending my lifeforce sitting in DS to attack. Weapons are balanced around lifeforce gain.

I suggest upping the base on DS #1 with low end slightly upped to 750 (was worse than staff auto) (2300pwr) and at max lifeforce 1500 (2300 power) My reasoning is that it would give value both to staying in DS and as a new mechanic…deciding if you should save your DS for effective daamge or use it as a damage buffer.

Change #2 to an instant blink rather than a projectile as it would make the advanced combos using it actually reliable

Change #3 do damage on cast…even if it’s just 400. and make the fear 2 seconds long (for synergy with the fear does condi damage trait)
