For anyone who has been reading the last few pages, my issue was my wife’s account was closed and we were refunded the game without our request. After 6 days, and only after having Gaile follow up on the incident (thank you for that) it has finally been resolved.
For anyone in a similar situation, apparently my wife’s copy of the game was determined to follow the same tendencies as a fraudulent purchase, so they not only closed the account but banned my credit card from their system.
We were able to re-open the account by buying the game again from Gamestop and linking this new code to her existing account, however this did not immediately re-open the account. The support team has to allow a new code to be linked, so even if you do buy a new game you will not have access to the account until support opens it back up.
I hope this helps anyone else in a similar situation.

4. If a person responds immediately with the information you are looking for, please reactivate the account.
5. If a person sees a $79.99 credit on their credit card from Anet, please tell them why their account has been credited.
6. As a result of the credit, if people need to repurchase the game to get a new key then please tell them to do that. Also, provide them a status of their old account and what will happen to all of their old characters. Will they have to reroll or have access to the characters they have already leveled.

For my wife’s account which looks to have the game refunded, since I haven’t heard anything about it I was just going to buy another copy and see what happens, but then this happened.
edit* I also posted this incident in the sticky.
I am trying to buy another copy of the game from the website, but everytime, with different browsers and different computers it says there was an error with my information and to try again. I have done evrything several times, there is nothing wrong with my credit card # or anything.

I am posting for wife’s account.
Incident: 121126-002710
It looks like on our credit card statement that on nov 19th there was a 59.99 credit from NCSoft. We never requested a refund and do not want one and she wants to keep playing. Now she can’t log in, i don’t want to just buy another copy because she does not want to lose her character. How do we resolve this?
This is our 3rd night with no response so far for our ticket.
thanks for the help, i hope this gets resolved quickly, I’d hate this to turn her off the game.

nevermmind, the red part was the same. YThe part at the top just says account issue and gives no time period
it says exactly that and allie the wonder is her only character

Her name is Allie the Wonder, I have no idea how that would be bad.
I got my wife into playing games with me, and she really enjoys this game. We don’t play very often, but today she was very excited to play for a multi-hour session, which I of course was pumped about.
However, her account is suspended. I can’t see this as being for a legitiment reason. We haven’t played for weeks, her name is fine and she doesn’t even type when in the game. Her character’s code is Banana.7413
Please respond, i don’t want to miss out on one of the times she wants to play.

Sparkie you need to calm down and get off the high horse. This is mainly a general info question and for early levels while learning the game. Of course she is going to learn and get better, but right now with the crowding of the low level events, I was concerned I would out level her.
I appreciate the other contributions to the actual topic. From multiple people it sounds like group damage is calculated together so we will be fine.

This is concerning for the more populated areas, since as a new player she will be spending much more time than others trying to even run to face the enemies.
Correct. If she sneezes on it or looks at it cross she’ll get exp and event credit (usually) for the kill. In some of the events it seems to calculate based on the amount of total damage you did to the enemies but those are usually ones with veterans and champions which are easy to get damage in on.
Thanks for the quick response. I wish being in an actual group would give some sharing though, I’m going to have to kite and dodge around to give my wife time to tag things, which is fine, but in DE’s where there are lots of people I see myself getting Gold while she ends up Bronze or Silver. This will make me outlevel her pretty quick.

I just convinced my wife to play this game, and she decided to go with Guardian. I am going with Elemantalist and we are planning to be grouped and level together the entire time.
My question is if Loot and XP is shared in the group?
For example, we are doing a DE, she charges into a pack and hits 1 or 2 enemies while frantically trying to face the right direction, in the mean time I am AoEing everything and kill 6-8 enemies.
Will she get credit for what I killed in the DE and still get Gold and be able to loot everything?
This is a big concern of mine since she is new to games and the way the DE’s are she won’t be able to tag anything before it dies in some events.
