Guild Wars 2

Picture this, It around 6 PM on a Sunday. You just installed a new video card, fire up the computer let it do all of its driver installs. Very glad it wasn’t a DOA. Than you think, Hmmmmm wonder how my favorite game runs on this machine? You start up the game and get greeted by this midi music.

So you start a process of trouble shooting including the download of beta video drivers, and trying every sound driver you can that may work while deleting and reinstalling devices. I even uninstalled the video card reverted back to the old one. Still half channel music. Thinking, Ok, my onboard sound is hosed, I head towards Microcenter to get me a USB sound adapter. Come to find out they were closed due to Easter.

Messed around with the computer some more still confused because everything tests out but the game is still half channel sound. And when I Googled, up pops this thread.

Thanks for letting me vent, I feel better now.

Got to agree, this needs fixed and I also noticed that I am lucky to even get a present from them. I would even venture to say I only get a present from about 1 out of every 4 I have opened.
