LOVED the mount. if that was all I was getting, I would still be getting great value.

hoping the meta events were just turned off for the demo.

unid gear seems like a good idea, but needs some tweaking. like others have suggested, split low (blue, green) and high (yellow, orange) gear into different unid items. also the cost to id seems high.

would love to see more dye channels on mounts. not needed, but would be so nice.

would love to be able to dismount in the air, to begin gliding. would be great fun.

would also love some way to murder the chief. maybe stuff his body in the fire, or take him out back and bury the body in the sand dunes.

loved the demo, and am missing my mount already

I’m not sure the problem is that initiative encourages spamming of highest cost:effect ratio skills. The highest cost:effect skill should ideally change often depending on the situation.

My thought on the matter is the people are focusing on dps to the exclusion of all else. Now for much of the soloable pve content max dps will get you by, so people can just spam that hight ratio skill and continue. but if you find yourself outnumbered or outmatched spamming the one skill will most often just get you killed.

In those situations i find myself having to change up which skills I use on a second by second bases just to stay alive.

I think that for many people, the problem is either an disposition towards that kind of strategy or baggage from other games of the type.

People are going to have to learn that max dps is not the target, but overcoming the challenge (dps is obviously a part of this though, just not to the the exclusion of all else)

Anyway just my take on the matter.

How Anet could make the Steal Skill Awesome.

I just wanted to add my vote to keep steal the way it is. I like the random element to the skill. It’s not like a completely random skill where you don’t know what effect it’s going to do before you cast it. You get to assess what you got and choose when/how to use it. It stops the combat from getting to stale. Then you add all of the other things it can do, or be traited for and it gets even better. I really like it.
