I purchased the game in good faith. It ran well before the patches of 3/26/13. ArenaNet caused the problems I am having, ArenaNet should fix them. Am I mad? You betcha. I’m kitten at ArenaNet. If ArenaNet is working on a solution, please say so, I can wait. If not, then I think it is only fair to refund my purchase price. I can run other games with no problems at all, I only have problems with GW2. It’s really quite a shame because I have made several very good friends in GW2.
I didn’t think it was necessary to describe the problems I am having with GW2 again as I have reported those in this forum several times before. However, here are the problems again. I log into the game, get to the character select page, then select a character and log into the game. Immediately my screen starts to freeze in short bursts, several seconds each, then the screen goes black and I have to reboot my computer. I cannot play the game at all. This started occuring immediately after the patches of 3/26/13. There have been no changes in my computer, only changes in the game.
It has been over a month since the patches of 3/26/13 made it so I cannot play GW2. I have seen no improvement since that date. I am very very disappointed that nothing has been done to fix the problem. All my drivers are current, I have no computer problems and can play other games with no problem. I paid $59.99 for GW2. I would like a refund if you are not going to fix the problems you created by those patches. If you have a shred of morals and decency you will refund my purchase price.
I wonder how long it will take to fix the damage caused by the patches of 3/26/13? I still cannot play GW2 for more than about 30 seconds before my screen goes black and I have to reboot. Come on guys, get to it and fix the mess you caused !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn’t agree with you more. Since the patches of the 26th, the game is unplayable. I just entered a post “I can’t believe”, saying pretty much the same thing. I cannot stay in the game for more than a few minutes before my screen goes black and I have to reboot. I still have sound though. I would not like to think they are doing nothing because only a few players are complaining. When a few complain, there are many more that don’t complain but are experiencing the same problems. If you buy the game, you have a right to play it. My game ran perfectly well before the patches, there has been no changes in my computer, now I cannot play it at all.
If anyone reads this, I just can’t believe that the game makers have let the black screen problem since the recent patches go on this long. In my own opinion, you people are professionals and you should have known what was going to happen. You should have tested the patches on a beta server before releasing them to the public. Now I have a game that I paid $60 for and cannot play. That’s a crime and worse, a shame. It’s a huge black eye for Arena Net. In the time I played GW1, not a single patch caused a problem. GW2 has alot to live up to, and you are doing a very poor job of it. If you want ban my account because of what I have written here, feel free to do so. GW2 is useless to me anyway.
Ever since the last few patches I cannot stay in the game for more than a few minutes. The problem started immediately after the patches of March 26th, before which the game ran perfectly, and starts with whitish lines coming from the sides of the screen towards my character, then the video freezes for several seconds, returns to normal, then the screen goes black. Sometimes the screen returns to normal game video, after which the process starts over again. Most often the screen stays black and I have to reboot. I am running Windows 7 x64, 16gb ram. I have windows loaded onto an 110 gb ssd, the game is loaded onto a 1 terabyte hard drive, of which 909gb is free. There has been no changes in my computer with the exception of the patches. All drivers are current and properly installed. I have no trouble running GW1 or using the internet. After running numerous virus scans with Kaspersky, all were negative for any threats. Video card is NVidia G Force GTX 660.
Any help would be appreciated. I am thinking I will have to wait for another patch which will correct the problem.
