Guild Wars 2

I completed the pre-event to the shatterer, and my game disconnected. NBD, this happens from time to time, and I’m not going to rage….

Until I’m locked out of the shatterer because I get thrown to the overflow.

It’s simple – one chest a day per character, no questions asked. Not per server, per character.

Problem solved.

Those of you who think this was a problem before the update are mistaken, I have never been put in an overflow (sans LA) ever.

So I have some questions:

Well first off. This guide was awesome, and exactly why I play.

onwards….

so I’m really lazy. Got zhed gear. Got zerk rings etc. Saving for the ascended zerk amulet. Got a zerk greatsword. 20/20/0/0/30. Shatter away, although I go for the extra bounce and damage for my illusion selections, plus the mind wrack bonus.

At this point I shred like a boss. I crit for stupid and face roll anything level 70 and below. I’m just trying to save lots of money at this point so here’s my questions….

went 6/6 rune of the traveler for the armor. I get 50 vit, I get 50% mf, and I run 5% faster. I primarly kill dragons and karma trains, so before you flame me for being selfish, know that my 51% crit unbuffed, 3200 power, and fact that I never die, means I’m not hampering anyone. I’m getting many different answers for my sigil….do I run accuracy? Damage? Or something else to help with the crits?

also, I’ve always given my illusions more life, and I never use decoy, or feedback. am I missing out?

Last question….if I don’t equip any condition debuff, would sigil of generosity work well? Does anyone know if it procs on immune enemies? example: destroyer immune to fire, will it still remove burning from me and not place it on the enemy? Will it freak out and not work? Will it put a diff condition on instead? Hitting six can be too taxing for me, I’d rather not bleed out if I can help it.

What about the process of deleting a guild, and then remaking one immediately after with the same name. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? If so how. Thanks again!

Quick question – I created a guild, but I want to change the tag. I’ve been told I must delete the guild and recreate it again with a new Tag.

Question is…is that possible? If so…how do I do that? I’m the only member, but I do not want to “leave” it and then have the guild name lost in the Abyss forever. I’d much rather keep it with the current name + tag.

Just wanted to know the process…and google was a big fail.

Thank you – just the answer I was hoping for! In that case, I’ll just use one of the backup/alt names, and that way my account at least holds on to one name that I could use in the future.

Maybe I could use this chain of posts for a discount on my inevitable name change (just kidding).

I know the one’s that say “Name is Taken” I can’t do much about. But will there be a time in AreaNet’s future where the “Reserved Guild Wars 1” names will be massively released? I know there’s no timetable currently, just didn’t know if the possibility of it never happening was on the table.

If one day the GW1 reserved names are changed, then I’ll make my character now, come up with any old name and go from there. If the prospect of GW1 names never being released is real, then I’ll have to think a lot harder for a name to use. I’ve learned from many years of MMOs, do it right the first time, or don’t do it at all…

I guess my point is – if this is going to be similar to GW1 (which I didn’t play, but read about the $14.99 charge), then I’m going to just wait it out instead of giving any more of my money.

First time playing Guild Wars, just bought it yesterday. My question is, how easy will it be to switch names once the GW1 reserved names are released? I understand there’s no time-frame for that currently, but it’s a pretty big deal for me personally when creating an MMO character.

If I could at least be guaranteed that one day these names would be released, AND the ability to change to one of those names would be relatively easy (whatever it costs in game from a monetary standpoint or otherwise) then I’d create a character ASAP and worry about the name prior to hitting 80.

Until then, I feel like I’m in a holding pattern, and haven’t enjoyed the game yet. I’m getting really good at creating a character and then deleting it though :/
