A year later than the original posting and this is still helping people. I found nothing else that addressed this issue anywhere. Thank you very much.

I have been playing this game since the day it came out and I have yet to ever find this event to not be bugged. It would be very nice if it could be fixed so I could see what happens.

I’m quite embarrassed but I’m posting a very big “never mind” as the problem turned out to be my brand new EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti video card. I removed the new card and re-installed the old card and voila! No problems.

Now I just have to get a replacement video card that actually works.

I’m updating this post because there is supposedly no updating taking place right now, yet every time I try to log onto the game, my computer reboots. Its 11:00 PM est on October 5th. I’d really like to know why this happens every few nights or so.

Thank gawd she doesn’t always look like that but its at least 75% of the time. Glad I provided a bit of comic relief. It is fairly hilarious but after awhile, I get a headache, lmfao.

P.S. The first mask I come across is going to be permanent.

Since Caine’s problem sounds similar to mine, I’m posting some clarification to help tech support.

I’ve been playing the game since the day after it was available. Most of the time there is no loading problem. When there is a problem, the game loads as normal to the character selection screen but upon choosing, not only does the game crash but my computer crashes and reboots.

I’ve figured out that when this happens, some sort of GW2 updating is taking place such as about a half hour ago when I crashed twice around 10:30 PM EST. Apparently, some areas of the game were down due to repairs/updates taking place at 8:30 PM Pacific.

I’d like to know why this happens and what, if anything, can be done to prevent it from happening.

This is my 3rd toon and 2nd Sylvari so I know how to create them. I wanted this toon to have large eyes and when I was done, she looked fine – until she appeared in-game. Judge for yourself, I’ve attached a screenshot. One eye looks one way and the other looks in a completely different direction – insane.

Is there some way for me to be able to fix her face? I’m not sure I’ll be able to stand looking at her for much longer.
