I find some of the arguments here against adventures rather fallacious.
Adventures gated MPs
There was no gating at all, unless you also consider raids, fractals, exploring, doing the story for HoT and LW, etc. also gating MPs. They were an additional source of MPs with the gold tier being a bonus. (Although I agree it could be a different type of reward, but Bronze shouldn’t reward a MP or the challenge factor to motivate players to strategize would likely disappear.)
Adventures forced players into doing what they don’t like
Again, the same could be argued for pretty much every other area of the game. Personally, I enjoy a game as vast and rich as GW2 because the various systems and game modes ensure there’ll always be something new for me to try, even if at first I dislike what it looks like and how it’s implemented – and since there’s no gating, why would you force yourself into it?
Adventures take away from the social aspect of the game
As someone already pointed out, several of them could be done in groups where you could either watch someone or be directly assisted by them; even for an instanced adventure, going to forums to ask/talk about it or watching a guide is still “socializing” as much as you can do over the internet.
In the end is just another way of playing the game that doesn’t subtract anything from it.
Kangaroo rats.
Yah. I was thinking maybe Jerboa, but kangaroo rat is closer.
Or maybe a Springhare
Alright guys, that makes sense… I hadn’t thought of a spring-hare really – it looks like just what is going to be in the game.
I suppose with the other 3 mounts being somewhat on the ogreish side it was deliberate to pick a “bunny look-alike” as well to balance out the sensibilities.
I am also of the opinion that mounts should NOT be allowed in major towns/cities, or at the very least the most crowded areas of them like bank, TP, crafting stations, etc. The simple reason is to reduce visual pollution and extreme clutter that’ll make it impossible to see environment and NPCs.
Also, I was very disappointed to learn a spider mount was ruled out – they’re such natural denizens of the desert and perfect to have the vertical jump ability… now, where did that bunny/badger springer come from, exactly? Seriously…
Why is the emblem for Path of Flame a tornado?
It’s more of a dustdevil, typical of desert environs and even Martian landscapes; at the bottom-left of the logo you also notice 3 small pyramids to emphasize that idea.
Personally I love the concept of this logo – HoT logo was also beautifully done with that stylized depiction of the serpent a.k.a. the “Mouth of Mordremoth.”
The only ‘talk’ I’ve heard/read is from players; nothing official from the Devs about Tengu being a new playable race.
There wasn’t even anything about Tengu in the ‘leaks’.
Also, what photo?
I think he means the background image on the announcement page :P
VB Ordnance Corp collect event too long
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I think they need to adjust the entire outpost events for ordinance. I’ve been trying to complete the achievement for days and there simply isn’t enough population or interest in the events. I guess Ill never get my mastery point for completing all outposts.
The whole chain isn’t much of a trouble to get done, is it? at least wasn’t for me when I last did it couple months ago… make sure you’re in a populated map… one last achievement I’m missing there, though, is the Ongoing Defense one which has you defend any one of the towers through a few waves of mobs… people always move on to the next event once the tower gets built and I can’t keep the big hylek from stomping down on it by myself.
