Last night 3 of us tried to kill perma stealth thief ofc we fail,its easy to kill bad ones but any deacent player that does not need to be super uber korean wunderkid can go form stealth to stealth and again.
How do you think we feel when a Elemental runs in mist form inside of a castle and we never kill him?
How do you think we feel when a warrior 1 shot us with rifle?
How do you think we feel when a phantom Mesmer destroys us in 1 second?
How do you thing we fell when a Retaliation Guardian just laugh of our damage?
How do you think we feel when a Engineer throws his package on our heads, stunts and beat us?
If you couldn’t kill that thief is because you don’t know how to play against them.
When he uses the blind field (small red circle) step inside, he will hit you and will be revealed, also he will not have any iniciative, then you can kill him very very easy.
Use root and stunt, he will scape one time but not the second one.
Use AOE after you root or stunt, even if they disappear they are still in the same place rooted.
I have been beat by every single class in this game with really good player . . .
So I’m really honest when I say this . . . don’t come and cry if your problem is clearly a l2p problem.
I have never seen a perma stealth die from 1 rifle shot from a warrior. The thief would need to have full zerker gears for that to happen. Retaliation got a nerf and Guardians do not have the highest health in the game, Mesmers can only destroy zerker thiefs in one shot(btw shatter is harder to land than it seems cause the phantasms are slow and thieves can use them as ammo to stealth). Elementalist mist state is pretty annoying, but the example you are stating applies on only certain circumstances. Engineers are by no means overpowered, though their conditions are killer, the turret is a elite skill with a long cooldown so before you start making counter arguments learn the other classes. I have a thief, and I can say that we are overpowered. Thieves can choose to run away from their battles at any time, but what is the point of complaining here when the developers can’t even fix bugs like the mesmers phantasmal zerker. You sir are probably a full zerker thief which is why you are complaining about dying fast and the other people who posted in this thread are pretty much admitting that thieves are overpowered. I believe that stealth needs a hard counter. The stealth trap is not stopping anyone. There needs to be a way to counter perma stealth. Thieves have high damage and they always have the option of running away.
