Hey Ferris Bewler,
-quote- " I’ll be smashing a mob and just turn my camera around to check for other mobs and BAM, all of a sudden im trying to auto attack a mob 500 miles away on the horizon" -quote- That cracks me up and annoys me at the same time hahaha.
I was thinking there could be some sort of a error interference with the camra turn.
When you turn your camra (holding right mouse) the mouse disapears and your in “control mode” but it could be that either though the mouse is gone, it could still be selecting a target when you look over.
I have tested this theory and lo and behold it does, since you can select a target with right click as well you could mistakenly attack that target or have the pet go after it.
also to note which I will put up now, theres an option which solves half the problem of targeting a random person if you already didnt know. Just uncheck this and you should be fine to not have it auto select.
Hey Rosen how are you,
I was thinking the same for,
-quote-“Perhaps it’s because the pet can’t start the using it’s special skill until it’s completed the skill it’s in the middle of using.”-quote-
It seems it might also not chain attacks (prepare them) for pets.
Since we can say "right I’m going to chain 1,3,5 (example) and it will do them one after another, but since the pet only has 1 Manuel key (F2) it “might” not have a chain attack system and will not work/collide with auto association attacks (will automatically use what moves it is available off cool down).
Hi everyone.
-Targeting-
Get to the point the targeting system is lacking one particular function and that is an auto lock. Now before everyone jumps out and says there is an “auto lock target”, holding down the button to enable lock target while fighting in the midst of chaos to prevent the targeting system from choosing another target (people/npc/enemies) is not my idea of flexibility….just annoying and stupid. There should be a rework or an extra function for “auto target lock” to enable you to turn it either “on or off”. This will make fighting more plesant and by just hitting (example) “Tab” and fighting only that target in the midst of chaos and with each cycle of enemies I choose by hitting “Tab” it will stay locked.
Yes because I want my target to change from who I was fighting to another enemy or a friendly -.-" ………. (sarcastic, just in case no one noticed)
-Looting-
So having the same function for talking to be partnered with search loot is just without a doubt silly. Having to wrestle around to pick a loot and not talk to an npc or try to to revive somone and not talk to an npc is annoying. Why don’t I click on the target? why don’t I cycle to the target? how about why not have a seperate function for loot.
-Pet Response-
Now this may be just me so don’t dive at me with a bloody axe and foaming from the mouth but is anyone experiencing a slow response or even decline for the “F2” function ability command for pets?.
It seems when I tell my pet to use the ability that it either takes time for it to register then start the animation process or it simply discards the command in which I have to repeatedly press F2.
GW2 is by far (for me anyways) a fun and exiting game that I enjoy but too see some basic functions that aren’t present from the start is simply put annoying. I’m sure GW2 will add these options in and obviously in time like most mmorpg’s polish the game.
