You know what would be really cool is a combat recorder. You record a fight with another player or NPC then save it to your profile. In your home you could have a large screen TV where you can replay your fights for your friends or visitors. Not just fights too, you could record how to do a jumping puzzle or even how you solo’d a Champion.

Seriously ? A TV ?

But I really like the part with the Christmas tree

I think it would be the best to make an instance. Like the one in Divinity’s Reach. Your whole guild has access and you are neighbors or something. Or you make something apart from the guild just for the housing instance. A-housing-group with your friends (Maybe a 200+ Guild-Housing-instance would suck )

I don’t see that as an April Fool to be honest.
April Fools would be something like the commando-class

Or a jumping puzzle with a lot of possible ways but no one is leading to the chest (But you can see that there is one)

The thing with the global chat is: I for myself feel kind of .. alone? .. in the other cities cause noone is writing in the chat and after a while it really gets boring. An other thing is to be able to ask quests in the chat. In an empty city you wouldn’t get an answer :/

Hey everyone,
hope you’re having a nice time playing GW2
I was browsing the “Durmand Priory”-library and was thinking about all the secrets hiding at that place.
After a while I had an idea about hidden missions and how cool it would be finding a clue in one of those books which would lead to a person who would send me on a quest or a place with a hidden treasure or to the next book containing a clue.
There are so many small things that don’t get any or just a little attention. Things like books and NPC’s. A perfect place for those hidden clues/Missions. Those things would make Tyria more alive. One consequence could be that player would take a moment looking for the small things hoping to find a secret.
It would be a bit like the hidden jumping puzzles. For me it is one of the best if not the best moment in Guild Wars 2 when i find one of those jumping puzzles accidentally.
I think it is not too difficult to implement stuff like that, is it?

As an example:
-I am casually walking through Lion’s arch and suddenly i see a NPC waving at me. I have nothing else to do so i go over and talk to him. He tells me that he found a key with a letter. In the letter someone mentioned a treasure and where it is hidden. The problem: It is placed on the ground of the Sanctum Harbor and he can’t swim.
The mysterious guy offers me to share the treasure with me if i can find it. After I accept the deal he gives me the key. -

You don’t know the exact place where it is hidden so you have to search for a while. In the chest is your reward.

Or another possibility could be, that you find the letter yourself in a far-off place in the city.
The NPC also could be a bit hidden. Somewhere like the sanitary sewer in lion’s arch. A nice place to start a hidden mission
There could also be achievements and titles. Example for title: “glutton for books” for finishing a paper chase by finding clues in books all over Tyria.

What do you think about it? Other suggestions in addition?
Would love to hear about your opinion.

I like.
I think it would benefit the feeling of being a Guild ( in addition to the Missions).
