RET I give props to you guys, you kicked my guilds kitten over and over 8+ times. But i’d love to fight you guys when you run about 20 instead of that blob. I think you guys are good enough to run smallers numbers, why not try?

We were running deep tonight. Recent recruiting because of burnout/general attrition, plus refugees loyal to FA joining us after their guilds left. We haven’t had that many RET in WvW at once in a while.

Don’t pretend like Mag and SBI haven’t made blobs that size in this matchup at some point though.

We’ll still be out there this week and welcome all fights! Come at us so we know how many of our recruits are secretly rallybots :-P, and we’ll try to run some smaller numbers later in the week (plus GvGs!).

Nice. Smart move there. By choking them in the bridge, you weeded out the enemy.

Not really. They wiped to our 15 plus a couple of random spectators they didnt manage to kill when they rolled through them while we were GvGing.

I switched to my stacking weapon as we chased them to the bridge and went from 0 to 25 stacks before the fight was even half way over. It is kind of cute that they posted a very small clip fighting an enemy they out numbered from the start, had a huge advantage over, and still had to edit out both the beginning and the outcome where they wiped to a smaller force… with survivors retreating to a tower.

Even funnier because they wiped two more times with superior numbers over us and spent the rest of the night running on inc and porting away. Funny trolling there. I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. Thanks for the good time…. but wait until after a GvG is done next time.

I was watching as BT interrupted the 15v15 of RE v TW, they hit with their usual map blob wiped most of the spectators, then died to the gvg’ers who were standing below.

Yeah, BT interrupted the GvG with what looked to be a map size zerg and got farmed by RE/TW who stopped fighting each other to kill them.

BT then got farmed a couple of times by TW before resorting to running/porting away with a full map zerg when seeing us. Kinda sucks because we didnt have that many according to supply info …well at least in comparison to them.

Anyways, I get that you enjoy busting up GvGs…. but if you get upset about random people on the map participating in farming you, perhaps you should just schedule a GvG against us and get it over with?

Ahh, perception. We had a lot fun tonight, sure seems like you all did too. Instead of making up fight numbers or guessing opposing zerg sizes, lets just leave it at that.

I know that at least TW will gvg, but please don’t talk about someone for havign map zergs. TW is known for having map zergs everywhere. You have the best map zergs, but still. Map zergs.

I’m not arguing that TW has run Full Map zergs, every guild in T1 has run a full map zerg. We have however proved that in equal numbers GvG’s, our guild is just as effective. This is what I’m trying to get BT to prove, but I cant seem to pull them from that protective blob.

I still don’t get what’s so great about GvG?
Its just follow the leader, and outlasting your enemy with regen/keeping stability up/ and condition removing. (Something WvW guilds do everyday or should be doing lol)

I’d take 1v1 duels or 5v5(Boon limit) group fights to prove personal skill any day, then rolling in a zerg.
Sadly in T1 roaming and small fights like these never exist, unlike lower tiers.

Your guild will never know until you try once, I can say without doubt that our GvG with AGG was one of the most epic fights I’ve had in GW. Zerging it up does consist of those things that you said but at the end of the day its just zerging. The build up to a big fight, as well as fighting in one, is some of the best nerves/excitement you can have in this game. It’s quite hard to explain, best way to find out what it’s like, try.

GvG is a different format nearly, it really is a shame there isn’t a supported proper place for it. If I were to do it i would spend a lot of time meticulously getting the exact right class comp and build comp. Making sure the exact right combo of ~20 people. That stress or added work (in which you could possibly have builds that aren’t good for general WvW) just isn’t worth it to a lot of people (myself included). And if you don’t do all that theorycrafting or cherry-picking classes/members, you’re at a disadvantage to your opponent.

To each their own.

For the record, BT doesn’t let everyone into their TS, and will often encourage militia to follow a community TS commander. In the end though, won’t outright tell people to kitten off on a map, as people will follow anyway. If you think this is mindless zerging then oh well; we do what we can.

Amazing fights and lots of loot tonight in SoR BL. I don’t think SoR or JQ cared who got bay, as long as it wasn’t BG lol.

Think someone from TW has that fight on fraps, it was 20minutes long. I’ll ask them to put it up if they can.

To be honest, from our side it was less of a “fight” and more of a “keep this fully upgraded camp contested for as long as you can.” We were never able to really group up enough people to push that massive group effectively, and the run is so short from spawn lol. It was fun trying to survive as long as i could!

Next time, you won’t be so lucky!

An all around amazing night defending bay in JQBL for a long while. Was not fun trying to hold vale for 15 minutes straight while JQ also insisted on trying for bay, but was still cool how we managed to hold it that long lol. Great fights, thanks all!

Great fights tonight. Felt like a 10 minute battle between hills and garrison, JQ ruined it by getting in the garri lol. The take of Cliffside was amazing

I don’t think that’s fair, Mif. I know for a fact I saw FA and DB engaging last night on our BL (WHY OH WHY???). At one point, DB was trying to take the NW tower, and FA came and wiped their siege and their players. And then left the tower alone. Which was a good thing because we were engaged on the other side of the map with garrison. There was much.. “What the h-e-double-hockeystick was that about?” And even some cheers of GO FA??

However, you know, if you guys want you know.. go to another BL, I won’t complain!

lol that fight was great. We initially went up to the tower with intentions of actually taking it! However upon seeing a juicy DB group (i think it was Agg and friends) we took a moment to assess, and decided an open field fight would be awesome. And it was, close fight, lots of movement, multiple people downed on both sides before FA emerged.

After that, seeing at least part of TC all riled up at the tower, we decided a long siege wasn’t worth it and went back to bay full of loot bags.

Was worried last night was going to be boring but there were a few excellent fights throughout the night. Fun times, everyone!
