Alas!

Okay, thanks for the heads up. Was hoping a self-sustainable crafter would be possible but I guess I need to supplement him with my other characters’ Karma and/or adventuring with him as well.

Hello, is there a way to gain Karma via crafting?

I would like to play a crafting-only character, but I would need to gain Karma in order to purchase some of the the crafting recipes I’d need to acquire. I would prefer not to spend another character’s Karma for the recipes for my tradesman character. The only way I am aware of getting Karma is by doing events and from daily/monthly achievements, so if there’s a way to gain Karma for a crafting-only character, I’d much appreciate hearing about it!

Thank you!

Are programmable keyboard macros allowed?

Greetings,

I have recently purchased a gaming keyboard that has programmable keys. I have been using them for several games and decided to give it a try with Guild Wars 2.

I found them to be very useful – especially for my Engineer, who has to manage all of his abilities by switching from kit to kit. I’m not very good at managing so many keys on my keyboard, but with the macros, I can make my life easier by programming multiple steps into one button … for example, I have created a ‘Cure Condition’ macro which consists of three button presses:

1. Switch to Medkit
2. Use ‘Drop Antidote’
3. Switch out of Medkit

When I get a condition in a fight trying to remember where everything is and what everything does in every single kit is way too much to handle, so I end up mashing buttons and never curing the condition and dying, or forgetting to jump out of the med-kit after curing my condition and instead of shotgunning the enemy I’m piling bandages on top of him because I’m not paying attention to what kit I’m in.

So anyways, to my question: Is this an allowed behavior? I’m concerned this might be picked up by whatever data mining ArenaNet is doing to detect botters, even though I’m actively at the computer and not exploiting the game in any way – just making it more manageable for myself.

Thoughts (especially from GW2 personnel!) appreciated. Thank you!
