Running into an odd audio bug tonight.
When I first started GW2, all audio was turned off (even though options said everything was on). No music or fx or anything from the character select screen to in the game.
I exited the game and started again. Music starts right up on character select, but when I log in, I get a screetching static noise that lasts for one or two seconds on about a five second interval.
Adjusting the sliders, I find that the static is affecting two different channels/options: the music volume and the environmental volume. The level of static corresponds to how high these channels are turned up.
It’s really quite annoying and unbearable. Has anyone run into this before?
TLDR version: Yeah you can do anything, with enough creativity.

I have a Thief in Iron Legion. My reason? If you’re going to make your own pistolas, it’ll probably be because you’re Iron.

Finally picked up GW2 last week and I’m blown away at how great this game is.
I’m only level 20, but could use some feedback on what a more-or-less optimal direction would be for this build.
I’m a purely PvE player and have been going P/P with a focus on Precision and the Critical Strikes trait line. My approach to this point has been to Unload and kite repeatedly, Withdrawing and Rolling for Initiative as needed.
However, I wonder if my almost complete investment in Precision isn’t the wisest approach. I’m fairly squishy, but most of the time I can dodge my way out of things. Should I be investing decently into Toughness/Vitality?
Are there any nuances I should pick up on? I really don’t have a clue about Food yet and need to read up on that, I know that much…
