Unfortunately nothing has changed :< I will keep trying though…
This is my third format/installation of my system now and while just a shot in the dark it will hopefully do something but I really wish a dev would come around and say something. It can’t be my hardware, I’ve been doing nothing but bug sweeps, and artifact breaks, and 3d benchmarks. All my other games run fine. No solution yet.
Nothing at all. I can’t play GW2 anymore. I’ve formatted, done this and that, I’ve tried so many options and still I have gotten nowhere…I really want to play but I just can’t.
I formatted my PC, reinstalled/downloaded all the appropriate drivers/software to get current…and still I chug whether I am at high or low settings. None of my parts are overheating either. I’ve run a memcheck, a CPU check, and a GPU stress test- No bugs, no errors, nothing. I feel like I am at a dead end : [
I am not sure what happened but I went from seeing 35-50 FPS at all high-settings across the board at a res of 1600×900 to 5-10 now regardless of where I am in game or whether the settings are on high or low. My current setup.

EDIT/UPDATE: Hello, everyone!
Potentially I have found the ultimate solution to the problem and I am wondering now if this is really a wide spread problem…which also has absolutely nothing to do with the game itself. I have just found out between everything I’ve tried- Formatting, re-installation of software, hardware monitoring…I finally ran another GPU benchmark and found that for whatever reason my GPU was stuck at PCIe x1!!!!!!! For those of you with powerful rigs that suffer mysterious game lag PLEASE go ahead and download GPU-Z linked HERE http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/ and run it, there is even a built-in GPU stresser to let you know if your card idles at low Xtimes before either doing nothing or even getting close to x16 supported on most newer motherboards.
This whole time my card was stuck running at a x1 slot speed but when I went ahead and popped it into PCIe slot number 3 I saw in the GPU information gathered by GPU-Z that it now runs at the full x16 slot speed which gave me INCREDIBLE performance. I am running the game now at MAXIMUM settings and see no dip below 35 frames in Divinity’s Reach even at prime time hours.
I urge you to see if perhaps you are suffering from the same quirky misunderstanding between GPU and motherboard because the moment I fixed that discrepancy I saw a GIGANTIC difference in performance across EVERY game I own. It’s like having a totally different PC. Please, check if you too are stuck with a GPU not running at the full x16 slot speed.
