Just put in a support request for an email change. Hopefully they get working at it soon, as I’ve got a good reason to believe that this particular email account is vulnerable to attack and unwanted intrusion. I understand why ArenaNet have this “contact support” policy, however I believe it may be counter-intuitive in terms of combating hackers and account phishers.

try running in cleanboot mode (See Part 1.1)

I think I’ve tried that (at least by disabling all of the windows services). By doing that, I stop my computer from using the wifi dongle to connect to the internet – so I still can’t download it.

Is doing a clean boot different from disabling all services?

Dear GW2,

I’ve recently decided to re-install Gw2, however the setup doesn’t seem to be working. Upon launching, I’m given “Download Failed! Please check your internet connection and try again.” messages. I’ve tried using google DNS, unistalling my anti-virus as well as making exceptions for the program in both windows and my anti-virus’ firewalls.

I’m not sure how to interpet the test I did. I would be extremely greatful if somebody could offer some input, I hope to get back into Gw2 very soon
