I for one will not forget this Arena Net all you have succeeded in is causing hatred and animosity towards you because of the “patch” it’s good i am not paying one red cent for this game cause I would be twice as mad. Just remember some of us game’s won’t forget this. I for one am done I really don’t care if the stupid patch comes out or not? As far as I am concerned your first event is major epic failure:( I know for one i am too mad to play now I was really looking forward to this. Your worse then Blizzard when it comes to info? At your next event, you need to seriously improve on you communication between us your gamers and you the creators. Allot of us wasted an entire day, and yea we have have every right to miffed. And up to now i did nothing praise you game well not anymore consider this a “bad mark” against you that will be passing on to other gamers IF they ask MY opinion about Gw2.
Wow there very first big event and we can not even cut them the tiniest of slack; especially considering how most MMOs make you wait months to years between any meaningful content updates.

Americans don’t deal with GMT time, why should we have to?
Of course it is. Everything from American military operations to timezones. All use +/- UTC. (GMT). I live on the West Coast, and to make PDT a standard is just odd. There is nothing West of us (except Alaska) until you hit Hawaii with New Zealand being the next major population. That’s all ocean. Even using Eastern time would make more sense as it is closer to being even with both the EU and West coast. Which probably contains more players than Alaska, Hawaii and New Zealand
I would think most MMO players would be used to PST as the standard norm. Most companies are located on the West Coast, so in turn they time everything off of that.

If i were to venture to guess I would say the patch is breaking there test server and they are panicking to get it straightened out for Live.
