You can write, expound, and elaborate until you are blue in the face, but the long and short of it is you want stuff handed to you, with only a cursory effort on your part. Just because it’s a game doesn’t mean effort shouldn’t be required for the elite weapons. The amount of time spent crying about lodestones in this thread could easily have been spent getting the lodestones you need.

Former players that don’t post need to do everyone a favor and quit the forums too. Your view/perspective on things, especially current things, is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter what you think or feel about it, the only things you know about the game are out-dated and learned secondhand.. like from this forum. Also, just so the “posters” are aware, since they seem to think their little universe encompasses everything, the forum population is an extremely minor slice of the population. It’s also happens to have pretty much all of the foul, vitriolic, entitled whiny kitten of the population. The very best thing Arenanet could do for this game, is never listen to what is on this forum. People complain constantly about insignificant crap, and no one bothers to check their facts, ever. So you end up with the situation like here, where if the person posting isn’t WRONG, then the whatever being said is inane. If this post seems like it was directed at you, it was. Please, consider doing something useful with your time.

Anyone that thinks no money or “artificial rewards” in an MMO would be successful needs a reality check. LFk gave a very eloquent response, and it’s pretty much the best you’re gonna get. The amount of people on this forum that want the game to conform to them, instead of making a compromise that enhances your game is absolutely mind-blowing. This game doesn’t revolve around you. Also, the group of people that play for the “Experience” probably won’t buy gems anyway, so why cater to the person thats not going to pay the bills?
