So you say, that a different volatility can lead to this scenario:
I (1430 Points) and my friend (1410 points) play together 5 matches, in the end I have 1350 points and he has 1370 points although we played the exact same matches together as a team?
But volatility would not provide a constant “more points win, less points loss” balance right? It would just increase the variety in point gain/loss.
Also I am not sure how the volatility affects the points you gain/lose, I rather thought it affects the matchmaking. If you are on 1400 then – independent from the volatility – the “center of calculations” should be those 1400, so that if 2 friends at 1400 win the same match in a team, they would gain similar points (+/- a few percent maybe, but not 1/3 or even double the points).
Hey there, yesterday a friend and me had an interesting match:
Both hat 1396 points, we were in a team, fighting the same match, we lost, I (engineer) lost 17 points, he (elementalist) lost 10 points.
Generally in the 6 fights we had he always gained more points and lost less.
Now, I saw in the code on wiki that there is a class specific coeficient included. But is it really fair to have more than 33% difference in the points gained while being on a similar skill rating? Which would mean that with my engineer I would per se have to win many more matches than he with his ele.
Does someone have a reasonable explanation for this?
