I see a lot of people considering that the limit to 5 targets is the problem.

I will tell you that it is the exact opposite: The limit to 5 of DPS is what keeps the uncoordinated forces alive and gives numbers a higher chance to win and lots of work to smaller coordinated groups to actually get things done.

KDS and DEYS would the happiest people in GW2 should A-net decide to remove that cap.

With current limitations killing 70-80 with 30 is simply impossible. Turtle just keeps the 30 alive but it dose not ensure fast kill of the enemy. Removing the 5 limit would simply allow faster and more efficient killing. Been there and done that in WAR. We used to kill 50-60 uncoordinated enemies with a group of 18-20 KDS in mere seconds before they introduced same 5 targets limit. After that things got way tougher and the proportion moved to a need of 30-35 of KDS to kill the 50-60 enemies fast enough.

I will say be happy of the limit and don’t complain about it. It just gives more POWER the uncoordinated forces and to numbers.

Almost every time when somebody gets their behinds kicked they call for exploit.

There were 30-40 DEYS fighting 60-70 Enemies for about 2h in a tower without doors or walls.

Has it occurred to you that bringing 1/2 of your force on that map to fight 1/4, of just one enemy, might be an exploit … erm… I meant counterproductive?

If you keep pushing like a bull against a superior enemy (the brick wall) it will not get you points no matter how much you whine why did the builders of the wall had to make it that thick.

If you would have kept only 30 people repeatedly coming to that tower – which was close to your spawn point – the whole DEYS turtle would have been locked in place and your other 40 people could have hit so many undefended targets and actually gain some points.

In stead you guys decided you wanted to be farmed for hours on end so DEYS members can increase their stacks of Badges and run our of portable vendors.

Besides a ‘Thank You’ and a ‘Good Luck Next Time’ take the above as a free tactical advice.

General Information:

— Founded in 2003 in Star Wars Galaxies, KDS is a semi-RP military structured guild which is led by dictatorship by two leaders: Colonel Molan and Colonel Medizor.

— Notable presence in SWG, WoW, EQ2, DnL, AOC, WAR, Darkfall, SWTOR

— KDS takes pride in helping the new and experienced player alike, amongst our ranks we have many years of MMO experience and are quite willing to share this knowledge among our members be that with PVP hints and tips, help with the many variations of character builds, crafting advice etc. Everyone starts out as the new guy at some point and we understand that your MMO history and experience is different from ours. To make sure you as a player are integrated into our community you will immediately upon acceptance start you training as a recruit in the KDS Boot Camp. We will provide you with training in our tactics and our code of conduct. All recruits must attend and successfully pass the boot camp within 2 weeks of application acceptance.

— We have players online 24/7 as our membership spans all time zones, whatever your playtime schedule happens to be, there are always Keepers around to play with. Our main PvP (WvWvW) events occur during the European Evenings.

— We share a 500 slots TS3 server with the rest of the DEYS alliance

Always sad to see guilds or alliances disband but claiming that you achieved what you set out to do 5 weeks after the game has been launched while there are still plenty of players not level 80 yet it makes me wonder if GW2 is such a bad game or you guys had really low aims.

IMO it will probably be another 2 months or so until the WvW will actually become a challenge across the board once most people will get a gripe of what is all about and queues will drop to a manage-able extent.

Anyway I wish you all the best and really hope most of you will continue to find the pleasure in the WvW of GW2 as there is nothing like a strong opponent or ally

Increase the Number of WvW Maps

It is already obvious that the over populated servers will have a higher chance to win a ‘Match’ so it will have little to no impact on that aspect.

The idea would be to have 3 more borderlands.

This would allow the queues to go down and it would also diminish the feeling that WvW maps are too small.

In addition to this bring an ‘x hours’ invulnerability to a Tower or Keep that is fully Upgraded. It would be just like an ultimate upgrade for a considerable sum of money. And make the cooldown on that upgrade something like 72 hours.

This Way if my group/guild/alliance has chosen to spend a few hours in a corner to control it and fully upgrade it – we can go to bed without the feeling that all our work will be wiped in 10 minutes once we log off because our server dose not have that good coverage in the x-y interval of the day.

KDS from Ruins of Surmia

Greetings,

As Major Xaint have explained it is against our own policy to use ANY kind of exploits.

The problem is that KDS can field 60-80 people easily yet we rarely hit 40 in WvW and we usually go with 25-35 tops. When we get 40 we split into two groups of 20 and so on.

Now the Culling system kicks in and bugs out when you have more than 50 players or so in same spot from same group. One of the reasons we do not keep 50 in same spot – We do not see our own enemies even if it is just 1 of them.

So when we have culling we know the enemy is way more than 50.

Then we use a trimming strategy to bring the enemy in a the visibility spectrum – we thin them out Once we start to actually see them we do the final push.

That is what happens and I know it because I was leading our forces many a time in such situations.

Greetings all,

DEYS alliance [KDS, Radiant Knights, Mystical Awakening, Herfolge Boldklub and Killer Bunnies Workshop] is playing on Ruins of Surmia.
We cover our prime time(18:00-22:00) decently and it suits us as alliance well.

However in order to progress up the ladder and meet better(hopefully) opponents we need better coverage outside our prime time. When I say better I must specify that we are ONLY looking for 1 to 3 guilds with 50+ members or maybe a SMALL (200-300 members) alliance that is OUTSIDE our prime time.

Why so small? For the simple reason that not having to queue for hours to enter WvW is far more important than winning anything
