Guild Wars 2

apparently my virus protection after recent update was taking the EXE and another piece and seeing them as Trojans. Putting them in Quarantine. Don’t know why it was doing this. But has to allow these to work via settings on 360 Total Security. Once I did. The game is working fine.

OKay I just shut off my virus protection and and was able to run ga,e and it updated and everything! WTF? Never had this issue before!

I tried to do the “Repair” client option but when I try to do it. I get the same screen pop up. Not sure what else to do other than wait! Saw some say trying to rename certain files to “old” and all. But they were having a slightly different issue. But it did get the client running and checking for updates and installing them. If there is a fix for this? Not sure how I will go about to run the client to install the fixes!

Not sure what is going on. I was able to log in and update game client yesterday. Today I wanted just to check to see if there was anything else to update. And now I can’t get it to run! I enclosed a pic of what it shows when I click on the Guild Wars 2 icon to launch the game.

I’m trying to make sure that the code are specific to regions. With him in Russia playing on a EU copy of the game. I want to know for sure that I don’t need to buy the EU version of HOT. I thought about sending him the money via Paypal. But he says he can’t use it. It’s just very confusing. It sucks that Anet can’t make a easy way for people to gift the game if they want.

I want to buy my friend who living in Russia the expansion. He has been playing GW2 now for near 3 years on the EU servers. I play with him from the States. But trying to find a way to officially buy it for him to avoid a lot of these issues that some have when buying from 3rd party sellers. He says he can’t use Paypal. So I can’t gift him the money for it. A lot of the authorized sellers listed on the GW2 website says can’t sell to Russia. I know some say that you can buy the game and gift the authorization code. But if I buy from a US seller. I don’t know or think it would work on the EU version of the game. It’s very confusing! And he really wants to continue playing this game! What to do?

I wonder if there is a issue with Digital River? DR is known to make major screw ups when selling even digital items. I remember when my mom preordered Sims3. Just like one said above. And they said it was for Sims2. Even though order receipt and even emails prior said order for Sims3. It took a month for her to get it sorted out.

Well, I’m in the US. But play on European servers cause my friend plays on them. I want to gift him the game expansion. but since he is in Russia. Not sure what to do. And with the current issue of how many who bought the game having issues of it crashing and then not being shown. I don’t want to waste the money if this happens. But still want to know what to do to gift it if they fix this issue.

WOW! this is making me seriously wait on buying the game. Got to wonder WTF is going on with Anet? This isn’t good! First still having to pay $50 for the expansion. Now this? Seriously, they need to do something to make good with us.
