So I’ve had the same issue. Done faily extensive testing, and nothing.
My CPU temp never goes above 65
My GPU Temp never goes above 60
I set processor affinity to one core to test, nothing

I have my drivers updated, BIOS, Motherboard, and NVidia are all up to date.
Running GTS250, E8600CPU, 650W PSU
