This allows for third party applications to give access to user information such as mail, inventory information, character information, chat, guild information, etc etc. The possibilities are limitless. I’d love to check up on my guild while I’m away from home and be able to chat with them. Maybe see what my friends are doing or if I’ve sold any items in my Black Lion Trading Post. I strongly urge you to consider OAuth as a possibility.

OAuth is a great way to allow third party applications to authenticate users directly from ArenaNet without the third party application receiving any type of log in information. It’s secure and it works. A lot of big social networks sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and many other use this method. Is ArenaNet working or have planned on implementing OAuth or anything similar to OAuth? As an Android developer I find this very convenient and should be implemented.

Okay well no one told me this and there was no way of knowing before actually doing… So the question is why wasn’t I informed properly and more importantly how can I retrieve my gold without losing half of it? The UI should specifically state the current rates for both gem to gold and gold to gem trades but it doesnt it only says the week minimum, average, and maximum. It doesn’t even warn me when I trade gold to gem that I would only receive the 5 day minimum. I feel as I’ve been scammed by the lack of a more informative UI. I would actually be very content if Anet traded it back for me and undid what I had just done but it is probably highly unlikely that this will occur.

So today I accidentally bought 1041 or so gems with my gold I was only trying to check how much I would get and I immediately tried to tade it back and it showed that I would only receive 5 gold instead of the 8 I had originally put in… WTF? I doubt that the rates changed what is going on Anet?!?!

We are still working our way up however we have 15 members at least half of which log in every day. We need more active members ASAP!

A newly created anime based guild Assassins of The Blood Oath [AoB] is now recruiting in the server Jade Quarry. It is based off of the anime show called Sword Art Online. If you do not watch the show you can still join the guild regardless.

We’re looking for mature players who are active, friendly, and play in the server Jade Quarry. As a guild our main focus is PvE however we plan to split the guild into two sections, one for PvP and the other for PvE as we gain more members.
