If you run a software firewall, then check that the “awesomium_process.exe” process isn’t blocked from accessing the internet. This will spawn in TEMP\gw2cache-{GUID}\ whenever you access the store or trading system.
Because the location might change occasionally, or even each time, I gather this can cause headaches for some software firewalls.
The biggest hit int he game I’m finding is reflections. I find using it on the “Terrain and sky” setting helps immensely. This is an issue that’s been ongoing for months, back from the Molten alliance story.
I had terrible spikes yesterday, I thought it was my ISP’s traffic shaping, but all packets from the game are labelled correctly as high priority. So now I come here and see that the unplayable condition of the game is NCSoft’s fault. I’ve lost hours of gameplay and died countless times to lag and disconnects yesterday.
I was looking forward to seeing the broken culling system turned off today, but now I’m not so sure.
EDIT: I’m on Aurora Glade (EU)
EDIT2: Guild Wars plays just fine, no lag whatsoever

I’m getting fed up with MS gank squads in Obsidian sanctum. While peeps from DL tend to be okay and we can have fun in the JP. All it tends to take is one MS to ruin the party for everyone involved…
FUN IS FORBODDEN!
After taking SM we were doing some patrols when someone mentioned that DL were building a Ram at a wall, I had to come see for myself:

Still laughing…
We’ve gone from the best matchup ever, to the absolute worst. Last Time us in Aurora Glade faced 2 [DE] servers we couldn’t hold anything because the German servers kept joining up and screwing us over.
Why the change Anet? Do you hate our server THAT much?
I tend to turn Ambient occlusion off in the nvidia control panel for guild wars 2. I wonder if AO is causing issues too.
I was noticing this too, especially when I was facing the Shatterer (Lots of players) and in the Black Citadel central spiral. Places that caused no problems before now bring my FPS into single figures so I played with the settings, turning them on and off one by one and found that reflections were the culprit, even with only “Terrain & Sky” the fps just takes a massive hit.
It seems to be any place where there are a lot of characters (NPCs and players) that it takes the biggest hits.
Reflections: All(8fps/99% GPU/3% MCU), Terrain&Sky(9fps/99% GPU/4% MCU), None(37fps/48% GPU/16% MCU)
EDIT: Updated my Nvidia Drivers to 320.18 with no difference.
