Guild Wars 2

Hi all,

Been trying to get around an issue when attempting to “Join in (Location)”, and am met with the following message:

Network error.
Please check your internet connection and try again.
(Code=178:9:13:6241:101)

Internet connection is fine, am currently able to do other things outside of GW2 – and inside of it as well. WvW has no issue at all, for example, and Guild/Party/Map chat is not a problem.

Is happening in Brisban Wildlands, if that makes a difference.

Here’s a question that’s been bugging a few people for a while…

Seeing as how the Order of Whispers is historically an Elonian entity, with hints to that heritage in-game, and is a group that is said to be the only ones able to move to and from the Joko-ruled lands, how common is that actual occurrence? Are there Whispers caravans and underground railroads in operations everyday?

Same goes with Cantha, especially with the advent of Airships. There’s also an NPC in Divinity’s Reach who claims she’s Canthan, but looks nothing like any kind of Asian you can imagine.

Hi there, have recently found an obscure suggestion hidden away on some random Forum somewhere, that disabling WMM on a Broadcomm wireless driver may help with this issue. I did that, and it’s worked a treat, with no visible problems in any other area. Worth a shot if any of you are using the same setup.

Small update: Complete reinstall does not help either.

Same, maddening problem.

Have tried:
GW2 Repair
Forwarding ports
Updating Network drivers
Changing wifi channels
Lowering firewall settings
Allowing GW2 through firewalls
Disabling antivirus
Restarting router
Disabling dual bands on wifi
Restricting port access
Using a VPN

Traceroute doesn’t suggest bad things according to the guide on the GW2 support site

I doubt it’s a problem with my internet provider; everything else runs smoothly while GW2 is up or not. Torrenting files, streaming media, Steam, other downloads and MMOs, FPS’s, anything and everything. Just constant disconnecting on GW2, so much so that it is unplayable, as others have mentioned.

The fact this has gone on for so long, with several tickets gone unreplied, and with very few helpful suggestions has severely dimmed the regard I had for the devs and team.

Update, since my last post and various tickets have garnered zero reponse from A-Net (I thought Bioware had bad CS).

I’ve been suffering from this now for the last 2 days, making the game nearly unplayable. Happens only on my Warrior, does not happen at all on my Ranger. Cannot level him for more than 5 minutes without a DC. Chat is fine, and I can move around in the world but not interact or use skills, before being dropped and when I log back in I’m often somewhere else entirely.
