I lost my patience and ended up letting it reinstall overnight, which as expected fixed the problem. Hope that doesn’t happen again -.-
That’s interesting Birdie. I personally had tons of extra space but I really hope that solution works for others encountering the same problem. Glad it’s back up for you as well Happicakes and with any luck maybe it’s back to working at the original location you tried when it wouldn’t work.
And ‘yourself’ that’s awful. You have to replace all the files after every single update? I’m wondering if I move the gw2.dat file (the 19 gig one) and uninstall, reinstall, then replace the file if that might fix things but I’m hesitant to try since I’m not sure if it will allow me to do that or force me to download everything again (which I REALLY don’t want to do).
Strange. I’ve had the game installed for the last month and saw plenty of updates but never encountered this problem. It’s still doing the same thing and hearing that people have been having the issue since yesterday is disappointing. Do any of you have ATI cards by any chance? Mines always given me trouble with other things so I’m curious if it has anything to do with this, though I rather doubt it.
Oh wow. Yesterday evening? I was hoping it was just something funny with an update that would be ironed out fairly quickly. As I mentioned the game was working totally fine just earlier today and I’m pretty sure that nothing changed on my end that would cause it..Sigh.
Looks like the client repair tool also freezes. Sad times.
I’m not sure if it’s an update that just occurred or what but my launcher is now suddenly freezing when I try to open the game. “Downloading 0kb/s” then a few seconds later the error report window pops up and once sent everything closes down. Game was working fine when I played about 5 hours ago. Anyone else getting this?
