+1 Really hope they make these account bound (along with bag slot unlock
)
I also agree that “Soulbound” should be remove but only to a certain extent, for I see it as barrier that reduces one’s incentive to play/create more than 1 character.
Dyes, Bag slot unlock, commander tag and gathering tools (D, BSU, C & G) in my opinion should be account bound (Dye and Commander Tag can also arguable stay “Soulbound” for the sake of the gold economy). Armor, weapon and trinkets should stay “Soulbound”.
This way anyone who invested highly into one character does not feel punished and can switch to other characters with ease. For example, if a person invested (D, BSU, C & G) a lot into a character and want to play another character, it can be less motivating for that person due to the thought of having to re-purchasing Dyes, Bag slot unlock and infinite gathering tools. Thus things can easily become boring for that person.
In theory the advantage for these changes can be:
1. reduces the number of player wanting Racial or Profession Change
2. more player will create/play more characters
3. more gold spending on TP to buy items (indirectly increasing value of those items be reducing available stocks)
4. more gem spending for unique armor skin
So hopefully this post will reach the Devs so they can discuss about it.

It’s kind of sad that one invested so many gems item/unlocks (Bag slot and infinite gathering tools etc.) on one character but later on wished it has another profession. Time like this would be nice to have a profession changing option.
If it’s not too time/resource consuming I would really hope they can offer this option.
Possible In-game Economic Benefit:
Maybe this will bring more profit on gems sale and maybe this can reduce the number of profession complaints too. Additionally an possible chain reaction of this would be that it can create an indirect gold sink. For example. A character that was previously using medium armor are now changed to use heavy armor will be forced to use in-game gold to buy a new set of armor.

I suspect that Smodur The Unflinching might be a Traitor (due to that he is wearing a dredge “Sorrow’s Embrace” chest plate armor) :P heck, I might as well as saying that some of the upper ranked Charr from Iron Legion might been using their engineering technique to bind dredge technology with flame legion magic.
Cool thanks for the suggestion guys
Anyone one know any EU “Server with highest pve population?”
Riel Darkwater for me. the red&black dress and her dark hair just scream “hot” x “mysterious”. Ah if she have a whip as a weapon instead of her sniper rifle, it would make her even more “hot”. (woop! somehow Darren Hayes’ song “Insatiable” comes to my mind now)
I for one will not bow down to “our” hooven overlords.
But you acknowledge them as your lords? :O Ah! You are a spy! You try to do reverse psychology on the mass to acknowledge your hooven lord! Ebil! Ebil!
Not sure if this help, but try see if your mail box is full or not. Sometimes these things can be overlooked and if you don’t have at least 1 free spot ANet’s Mail won’t reach you.
they can increase drop rates to reduce the item’s value. not sure if this work… but they can also do tax relief to those who play with TP under 40g(just an example number)old per week.

My menu showed only 2 tiers and the last one as Latinkuro and rgrwng said it require 500k exp.
Somehow I’m liking this new system more than gw1, due to it being more casual player friendly. And at least it make people want to do it to some extent thus promoting smart play. But on the other hand it could also promote the alt+f4. kitten to the ying yang effect hehe.
PS: Mine is also stuck (just like rgrwng’s situation) ever since my death a few minutes ago.

Another idea very similar to BioHazard and MH, when boss reach a certain level of HP after taken damage, it should go into a berserk mode where 1 careless action could lead to instant down. Adding a limited duration for this mode and boss battle can be more excitingly challenging.
After some experience with some of the boss fights and Zhaitan, I’m wondering if it is possible for future expansions to create a combat that is much more similar to monster hunter.
I find MH’s combat system much more entertaining due to that it did well on indirectly force players to try to memorized monsters’ battle patterns. Making players not being too greedy with attacks and use dodge at the right time. Players in MH have more incentives to use melee weapons.
Although I’m no expert and did not do any extensive research but I can see there is a similarity between GW2 combat and MH’s. Both are active real time combat that want players to dodge and attack at the right time but the difference is that GW2 monsters does not always have more than 2 attack patterns (auto attack and a special) and the battle force player to zerg with long range. GW2 monster attack too often and sometime due to the particle effects it is hard to even see what the attack the monster will unleash. This make melee a not very fun option.
This is hard to explain, due to that I’m not very good with expressing myself. MH’s monsters does not always have an auto attack. Before they attack, they tend to show signs, and depend on these signs experience player can predict what type of attack is coming and how they should dodge it. Since these attacks are not auto (thus not being too often), melee players are not punished and have time to go in and land a few strong hits before they are force to move back and avoid the next attack. The range are still strong but in MH system range does more damage the closer they are. So it make range players try to play bit more risky, thus in a way reduce the range kite/zerging.
Another fun aspect is that monster have stagger system, where if you do enough dmg on a specific spot of the monster the monster would stagger for 0.5-1 sec which provide another window of opportunity for player to attack. This might be hard to implement and beside we have blind, daze and knockdown etc.. I agree that this isn’t very important but I still want to mention in case it would provide inspiration.
Not to forgetting to mention that the monster have their own stamina bar, these bar decrease each time the monster do an attack and when it reach 0 the monster will be tired and won’t attack until the bar refill up to a certain level.
Not sure if people understand my point but I just wish the elder dragon battle could be more like the one in Monster Hunter Portable 3, the “Amatsumagatsuchi” battle. And I apologised if my point of view is too biased towards MH and Melee, but my intention is just to contribute on building a fun experience for GW2 so more will enjoy this game.
