I guess the big problem I have with it, is that other classes get side weapons, they can use indefinitely, why can’t elementalists, thematically speaking it doesn’t fit. Banners on warriors, kits on Eng, why not Conjured weapons on elementalists?

Yeah the greatsword is the worst offender, I put alot of thought into what weapons My characters use, I tend to write backstories for them, and well if 3 to 4 of my characters are all using swords or axes, it ruins it. So axes were a no go.

Maybe I abuse them a bit more, I always end up having to wait fore I resummon any of them, and why would it be so terrible to make it a kit like the eng have, so people like me can have their cake, and so could people like you, Tab would drop it at any time, just like the kits.

“Hot joins” I play to have fun, not to tourney. I don’t know enough about pvp to attempt tourneys yet

So, you ever walked out of say, walmart, and a kid had a new plastic sword, and he’s spazzing out swinging it every which way?

It looked so familiar, when i saw it the other day, went to log on to my neglected charr warrior to play him, lo and behold.

Charr are supposed to be trained from cubs to fight with skill and ferocity….

supposed to be.

INSTEAD we get flailing and flopping of the sword. The ONLY skill that looks half decent is the Mainhand sword 2. The leaping strike. After that the charr goes seizure mode on his enemies.

I doubt it will ever change now, but Charr warrior was what I wanted to play since GW1… and now i gotta play a norn, and they arent that much better.

I mean really, what would it break? Engineers can drop them at any time to return to their normal weapon load outs. They are allowed to use their “conjured” skillsets as long as they like.

If it is a power issue, tone them down some. Leave the power the same for the secondary that drops, and let them have charges but I think it rather strange that as the elementalist that summoned it, I can’t hold it indefinitely.

Allow it to be the Improved conjur weapon like another thread suggested, so people dont get mad when it changes, I mean personally I would pay $10 to open another character slot for an elementalist if this change happened. Because right now, the skills are taking up a slot for “fun”.

They run out so fast, i’d rather just have a persistant buff, or cc skill, or anti cc skill instead. But if it were like an eng kit, I wouldn’t feel so bad, yet I would actually love to play one.

and for those people who say “just go play an eng then!” I have one, but I want an elementalist that can just hold on to his summoned weapon! It is IMO the coolest aspect of them, and without it, I see no reason to play them(for me personally), even though ive been to lvl 15, and then lvl 30 on two separate characters.

Mesmer, thief, thief, thief, thief, thief, guardian, guardian, guardian, thief, thief, thief, thief, Mesmer, Mesmer, Mesmer, Mesmer, Mesmer, guardian, guardian, guardian, thief, thief, thief……etc etc etc.

This has been my entire experience in Spvp. maybe once every 5-6 matches would I see an ELE, or maybe a warrior. But honestly…it isn’t fun, its not funny, and no I will not follow your advice mr. “why dont you just play them” because! I am not a tool.

But seriously, I am normally a fan of Spvp in any game, but not this one.. It is really the players fault, but its arenanets to some degree, there are big reasons why this trend is currently in, I am not going to pretend I know every nuance to pvp. But this issue is enough to make me quit before I ever learn them. I reached DEER just to get the rabbit off my Log in screen.

I have to agree with this post, so much. From the first time I saw him, I really really disliked him. He is the sole reason I haven’t finished my 80 guardian’s “personal” story.. I mean hell, if it is SO personal, why can’t I pick a leader? Let Trahearne be an option, but dont force me to follow his leafy butt, I don’t care who he is, I don’t care what he has done, I don’t like him, anything about it. He has utterly ruined the story, and has thus far caused me to cease all activity in personal story at a certain point on ALL my characters. It is sad really, the fact that the personal story resorts to this has caused me to wander off to play other games, as it was the centric reason for me to play this games. Very disappointed Arenanet, there are so many good things you did, why spoil it?!

AH well, it’ll probably never change. I’ll never get to face Zhaitan.
