There’s an assumption in your post that there is a “way” to play a dire mesmer, and this isn’kitten
But…you don’t supply any alternative, or reason that this is the case? The last video you posted was before chrono release, so I’m not sure how I can place any stock in your assertion based on your history, so I have to rely on the things you say.

So…what makes your declaration any different from any of the unfounded bullkitten that we hear from random warriors and thieves that cross through the forums looking for a fight?

Furthermore, Ross isn’t proposing some superior approach, he’s posting a build that he’s been trying and having success with. I mean, he’s explicitly going out of his way to try something different, and that’s all the post is.

If he’s having success with that, what grounds do you have to say that it doesn’t work?
Maybe you have an alternative that is so much better it makes his build a wasted effort?

I do have a much better alternative. I have a build that works. It’s 100% based 1vX roaming. I play on magumma on the off hours. I am permanently outmanned. Having a build that works is a huge deal.

This bad build posted on this thread is at best a ,1v1 deuling , test , I’m bored build.

You’re kittenty attitude alone makes anyone not give a kitten about what you think anyway. But just for a laugh, try it. Post that MLG420 build. I’m actually curious to see that build, that is SO GOOD, you feel the need to belittle other people’s builds.

So yeah.
I’m playing a Sylvari and one of the last mission I did was blowing up a Bone Ship together with Tonn, who died.
After that, the Fort Trinity Mission, since that mission my personal story is completely off the rails.

I can still do missions, but all the references to previous missions are wrong. It startet with Traeheren talking about how I got some Krait Orb with someone named Apatia, after that I went looking for her, killed her and sung about her in Hoelbrak. I never meet that npc and I’m thinking she belongs to the Norn Storyline, not the Sylvari one. Of course asuming there even is another Version to the Fort Trinity Mission except the one with the orb. If that is the only one, then clearly the missions before are missing because I never went and got that orb.

After that I meet some butterfly thing npc, which I pressumably met before (I didn’t).
Even worse, when the Orrian mirror came up in a later mission my character totaly forgot that I did a mission about that mirror way back and that I very well know Tegwen and whatsherface. In the same mission you meet the Quaqan you rescued, AND THEY REMEMBER YOU, or rather my character remembers them. So the game seems to get, that I did piory missions, but other than that it’s completely borked. The main problem with this is : I already wrote bugreports etc for it. Fixing the issue so it doesn’t happen again, is not enough. I need a gm to reset my story missions to the right Fort Trinity one, or otherwise fix it so that I can replay that section and actually “play my own story” instead of someone elses. This is not a small issue btw. It’s the one thing that kept me highly entertained and able to look past all the other issues the game has. Every Story mission I do now makes me cringe because it just doesn’t fit with what I did before.

So I would really appreciate it if someone could actually fix my personal storyline, instead of only preventing the bug from happening.
