Merciless Hammer and Burst Mastery was something I almost always took together as well, and as I said before, taking hammer hurts your other weapon set. There’s no compromise here, we are missing out on 2 grandmaster traits that make a hammer build work. Arms wouldn’t have been a bad choice, there is only sword there now. They could even move hammer back to the 2nd group swapping it with the banners, that trait is good enough to compete in grandmaster.
Does anyone know why the hammer trait was moved from defence? I feel like hammer builds are suffering having access to only one of these traits, and if you do pick the hammer trait, your other weapon set suffers from the lack of quickness.
Well if a warrior is ‘master of arms’ I would love to use the underwater spear on land, especially the legendary cause it is just so kitten sexy.
This. Spear is one of my favorite weapons. When I got my first one I didn’t realize it was under water only and was crushed when I found out.
I think it would suit as some sort of melee/ranged hybrid. Maybe a spinning reflect for all those jedi out there.
A warrior with a full set of berserker’s is still more likely to get attention than most other classes, we share the highest healthpool with Necromancers and highest armor with guardian, both of which lack the other.
Also, close proximity and damage are factors in aggro; both of which fit a berserker warrior.
Some attention is good. 7-10 mobs in bers gear? never ever happens.
And how do you deal with it? You kill them all…
Still learning something new every day. In regards to OP, I use the same trait points setup for PvE and WvW with a few tweaks. I use full zerkers and don’t have many problems with survivability. Lyssa runes, great sword main, and sword/horn offhand.
Most important part of my build is the sigil on my great sword, restore endurance on kill, added onto reckless dodge and whirlwind (with mobile strikes). Offhand allows for more mobility, dodges and another immobilze breaker.
Important note: for the first trait in discipline I use 20% signet cool down. Using healing signet and elite combines very well with the runes (16s and 48s on boons).
Utilities are balanced stance, bulls rush (also works with mobile strikes). The third is optional.
