They’re not botting, nor are they really breaking any rules directly (and they’ll get kicked out automatically after 45m), but it certainly is against the spirit of the game. I’m sure if a GM saw them they’d get kicked back to character select, but no further action would be taken. That’s my take on it.
That’s really unfortunate, but I see what you’re saying. It’s a shame a handful of people are making it harder for everyone else for their own benefit.
I’m starting to see a lot of necromancers AFKing in one of the Silverwastes camp with their minions, leeching off experience from the events. Today I ran into a guild with about 6-7 people doing that, and I was wondering, is that against the ToS?
It’s frustrating enough having to basically solo these events, but giving these people free experience and loot (given their mastery level, they probably had auto-loot) for doing nothing is irritating.
Here’s a screenshot of the necromancer guild I ran into today. I censored the names for privacy (not sure if it’s allowed to show names in screenshots).

So you want every profession to have a hard counter against stealth while thieves are already in a pretty bad spot? Wow.
I suggest playing as a thief so you can experience how easily they can be countered.
It’s account bound, so you can enjoy the content with all your characters.
I like how it looks on my male Charr, but I wish they would tweak the sound a little. It can get a bit tiresome to listen to that sound effect over and over again.
I have to agree with that, personally I feel the game’s lacking when it comes to the musical score; mainly because it seems out of place for the most part. Perhaps it would be nice if the different areas had a distinctive and unique theme, as opposed to playing the same ones in every map.
When our characters venture in a dark, muddy swamp, it doesn’t “feels” right that the same song plays in a cold and snowy mountain later on. There’s no variety, or so it seems.
You know? One of the most memorable moments I’ve had in the game was when Fear Not This Night played in one of the Sylvari missions, where my character had to rescue Tegwen from Orr with the help of the Mother Tree and Carys. It just -felt- right, and it enhanced the experience so much more.
I sincerely hope they can address this in the future. I believe it has a lot of potential to increase the immersion of the game. After all, the things that evokes emotions are the ones we remember the most, and I believe music is precisely the way to achieve that.
