I’ll try that tonight, but in the mean time here’s my 3DMark score: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4493119
after reading this thread I checked GPU-z and saw that the Bus Interface says “PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x1 2.0”. This is probably the issue, but I have no idea how it happened or how to address it.
I don’t think it’s your graphics card. I’m having some FPS issues myself since the patch yesterday without having changed anything. Pop in your GTX 460 and see if it’s still faster?
Just used Driver Sweeper to install the 12.9 Beta drivers and CAP1 profiles and then did the same reverting back to the 12.8 drivers; no noticeable change with either.
Until yesterday I was able to run the game at max settings with a constant 45 FPS (it was actually weird how it never went above that, I don’t have any limiters turned on). Anyways, since the update I can’t get above 20 FPS even with the lowest settings. I haven’t made any hardware or software changes, and I’m using the v12.8 AMD drivers with the CAP3 presets (i5 2500k and 6870 DirectCU btw). Any ideas?
Solved: Reseating the card fixed it.

It doesn’t seem to be correlated with high activity, I’ve only been playing in the 1-15 areas and there aren’t too many people around that often. I do have the graphics bumped all the way up, but there’s no other stuttering problems and I’m getting a constant 60+ FPS. I’ll have to keep an eye on GPU/VRAM usage.
If it matters, I have an AMD 6870 DirectCU.
Seemingly randomly, the screen freezes for 5-10 seconds, then goes black for a few seconds, and then the game fades back in. Everything not display related (Mumble, music, etc.) all works and it seems like all my keyboard commands are recognized as well. I’ve tried re-installing my graphics drivers with Driver Sweeper (using the latest release version) and setting my AA setting to “use application settings”, but none of that fixes it. Any other ideas?
