We don’t take ourselves too seriously here. While we like to get things done and work towards guild goals, our biggest thing is sitting back and chilling with friends. I have to wonder the depth of the statistics saying there are more people on Saturday. Yes Anet there may be more people but you’re missing huge chunks of data. Where exactly are these players on Saturday? Anyone who plays WvW a lot knows. They aren’t playing WvW.
On Friday evenings even my T5 server can have queues. Usually small and manageable but queues regardless. On Saturday? Nada. Nothing. Zip. I imagine this is the same across all the servers. Surely if there were more people online Saturday as you suggest, there would be much more activity in the borderlands or the very least EB.
Let this one go, its hugely unpopular. If you don’t care enough to fix other issues with WvW then go play with your attempt at being ESports. Or maybe go tinker with issues in PvE. A personal favorite of mine, go balance underwater skills. Do literally anything other then a change no one asked for and no one wanted with WvW.

I personally use Sword/Sword using Sinister stats for PvE and WvW. The combo is most effective in WvW I find for the reasons Elegie mentioned but I’d like to put more for the PvE side. Its particularly useful in the Silverwastes where the husks are more vulnerable to condi damage. And with Sinister stats you aren’t losing out on much DPS at all. I have a ton of fun running it and if the idea of a condi warrior intrigues you I’d recommend giving it a shot.
That being said it is not very effective in PvP at the moment. WvW is often quite different as the players aren’t as built around clearing condis. I’ve used it for an hour long small group fight and it absolutely destroyed other players there.
WvW is the embodiment of both PvE and PvP. Not to mention that this seems to be a mostly you problem.
Assuming that is what you meant: if mobs are interfering with your fights, you chose the location of your fight poorly.
I’d have to agree with Grandma here. Location is a part of fighting in this game mode and if you’re in a poor spot I can’t sympathize when some thief runs circles around you.
