Hehehe. Would suggest if they use dynamite that the noise could attract a monster or three to make things interesting.

Chars need to be able to fish in game. And add some new cooking recipes for better combat and speed while underwater. Recipes made from the fish that are caught. Also allow a char to catch the occasional crate of mats that come from a sunken ship. Or coinage or even junk.
