2. You won’t like this but you’re such a small part of the player base that you have no right to dictate how the game should be balanced around you. It’s just how it is.

What gives you any more of a right to play and dictate the score than oceanic players do?

They’re our servers thus the “EUROPEAN” and “AMERICAN” listings, not “Oceanic/Australian/Kiwi”. So yes, as a European playing on a European server I have every right to express my opinion on the matter and suggest they balance the game best.

We weren’t given oceanic servers, ANet obviously wanted us to play with you guys so stop crying.

You weren’t given servers because there’s too few of you to actually populate them. Face the facts here. You’re the minority and you’re causing unbalanced WvWvW making it impossible to be at all plausible for a competitive game type. Even on these forums there are many guilds recruiting Oceanic players with the intent to WvW when all other servers are offline and have even stated this outright in their recruitments. How is that fun for anyone when you outnumber two other servers 300 to their collective 100?

All I see from players like you is constant complaining over possible fixes to balance. Instead of kittening about our suggestions that will ultimately fix the situation why don’t you come up with some other solution?

You just contradicted yourself… so we ARN’T populated enough to have our own server…. but we ARE populated enough to dominate wvwvw while you are asleep…. SO you just cancelled yourself out… and basically just said, that… you can’t beat us so you don’t want to even have to try….

It’s ironic that the OP would talk about how everyone who wants to work towards balance is self centered when what he wants is to continue a broken system that only benefits him and the few in his time zone.

As so many Oceanic players are fond to use this phrase i’ll try it in your direction: There’s more to the world than Australia and New Zeland.

In even one single post has anyone said " block NA from playing wvwvw so that us oceanics don’t get smashed when we are sleeping"… o.0… Your point.. is pointless…. We are defending ourselves from the blame NA are putting on us for our very existence in another location… How DARE we exist outside of NA!?!?!

The issue is people think that “their” time is the set time for everyone, and once they go to bed, no one should be able to play. (One thread had a guy asking to have WvW changed to 12hr matches and 12hrs offline. each day.)

I honestly find it all rude, for people to think that they are the only ones who are online during a specific time.

Also someone mentioned “prime time” being when all server’s Queue’s are full.
3 servers I know have full queue’s from 10am (EST) until 6am(est) the following day.
By the logic the person had, that’d mean 3 servers have a prime time which is 20 hours long.

I agree with you Mishi, I guess the problem is that 80% of those who complaining probably aren’t mature enough to realize how rude they are being =/

With all due respect to Oceanic-based players, ArenaNet will write you off if they had to to save the playability of WvW.

I hope it doesn’t come to that, but if that is what they need to do to save their customer based in North American and Europe they’ll do it.

You really think that they would write off their asian and oceanic playerbase? Considering that asian and oceanic numbers combined probably equate to nearly just as much as NA considering the high population of gamers in korea, japan, china etc…

So what makes you think that is is a NA timezone only problem? This problem is happening at NA and EURO. You can’t deny something needs to happen to balance the gameplay out. Do Oceanic players honestly enjoy running around capping an entire map with low resistance? I know I wouldn’t enjoy that at all. Every match up having a landslide isn’t really fun. Fun matchups are close ones and you feel like you’re fighting for something. Me logging onto a landslide every matchup isn’t fun. This isn’t my job it’s my gateway to fun. If I’m not having fun I’ll have little desire to play it. I’m all for giving Oceanics their own servers and having them match vs Asians, but that won’t fix the problem.

The thing you and alot of the people complaining about this issue seem to forget is that the game doesn’t stop when you log off. It is a MMORPG constantly going 24/7. Just because when we play you don’t is no fault of ours and we shouldn’t suffer because of it. How would you feel if we said “The americans are dominating when we are in bed, stop them from logging into wvwvw while we are sleeping/working”…. That is basically what you are saying in reverse. Just because you have a higher population does not make you more deserving of enjoyment in this game.

um some of us night time players are from NA time zones -_- and isnt there a EU server currently complaining about a canadian guild roaming their server at their night time?

That is fine, my post is more in response to people complaining in some other threads about how other time zones should be blocked from wvwvw. This irritates me because us oceanics don’t get our own timezone server to play on, we either have to go on NA or EU, which doesn’t suit our primetime either way…. but some other threads are saying we shouldn’t be allowed to play in wvwvw at all … so i’m not having a go at NA night time players, just more of a response to people saying that only certain timezones should get to play.

I went through the story with a thought in my head that Trahearne was a double agent sent to kill me and lure me into false sense of security by Zhaitan >.> made things much more suspicious and edge-seat sitting….

though if u do that brace yourself for the let down at the end >.> lol

I hope if/when this is fixed that those who already completed the story will get their loot again? or maybe Arenanet can roll back all completed stories back 1 step (post dungeon step).
