Warrior DPS is straight up broken. No class can compare to a greatsword warrior with not only the ability to put up huge numbers, but also to do so with cleaves on pretty much all of their attacks. There’s a video on youtube of a rifle warrior critting other players for 20K with kill shot at range, which effectively one-shots almost any class. That’s just stupid powerful, especially considering all of the abilities warriors have to get out of trouble, and high armor, and high HP. Auto-attack is doing 3-4K. Either they need a nerf, or other classes need some buffs, because as someone who plays a warrior, thief, ele and mesmer, warrior does twice as much damage as the thief and ele, and 4 times as much as the mesmer.

This isn’t a rant, but more of a constructive analysis of the condition cap and condition builds in general. Right now, condition builds are getting hurt pretty badly in PvE because of the quickly reached condition cap. Basically, a five-man party has room for 1 condition build, and even then, most parties would much prefer another berserker wearing dps class. Condition damage shouldn’t be as good as direct damage dps, as it’s usually applied at range or while evading (like death blossom), but it should at least be more viable than it is right now. It should also be something the group really wants, like 100% increased damage from lots of vulnerability stacks.

Bleed: Why shouldn’t a dungeon gold be able to have 80 stacks of bleed on it? Right now, berserker warriors can do 25K hundred blades on them every 6 seconds. Heck, even properly specced rifle warriors can put up 20K crits with volley and kill shot.

Vulnerability: A mesmer can cap this out in one shatter with the right build, but what’s the harm in having 100 stacks of this on a mob? Double damage isn’t that crazy given the sheer amount of HP these mobs have.

Confusion: Duration for PvE is too low, period. For PvE this should be doubled, simply because enemies in this game take so long in between attacks that there is little to no room for error in timing confusion if you want more than 1 proc.

Poison: Seems to be working as intended, good against healing mobs.

Burning: Seems to be working as intended, but doesn’t seem to serve that much of a purpose as it seems to be a pretty low damage / tick.

I’m not trying to whine about the game, but rather would love to see someone from ANet explain why this mechanic exists in the first place for PvE, or hopefully announce an intention to change it up. It certainly wouldn’t be overpowered if the cap were raised or even lifted, and it would give more legitimacy to playstyles other than zerker crit builds.

I would love to hear what other players have to add too, and if they have any creative solutions to this issue.

20G is absolutely nothing. That’s like 2 dungeons a night for a week to get top-tier gear, not to mention all of the better looking gear you can get from various dungeons.

Jade Maw targetting pets with his laser merely prolongs the fight, doesn’t give a disadvantage to the team the same way Lupicus does.

In fact, it can give an advantage. I have purposefully spawned or shattered clones depending on the fight. If some people had low AR and are dead, I make clones to up the odds of avoiding us until we get everyone up. Personally I like the mechanic.

80 Mesmer looking for PvE focused Guild

Hi, I’m 29 years old, have a full time job, but still play about 2-3 hours M-F and usually put in 8-10 on the weekends. I’m looking for a larger guild that likes to form groups for just about anything PvE-wise and I’m willing to transfer servers. I have 100% map, all 80 exotic carrion gear and am now working on completing all the dungeons and all paths, as well has getting cooler looking skins for my armor and weapons. I like fractal runs, and am currently level 10 in that. I don’t mind helping others with lower level fractals either, and still run level 1 if it will help out a guildie. The same goes for dungeons I’ve already run.

I’m not a huge fan of WvW, but enjoy it when it’s a small group doing subterfuge like capping camps and such while avoiding the zerg. I also love running the jump puzzles in WvW and forming groups for that.

So bottom line, I’m looking for a large guild that likes to form groups for anything and uses ventrilo/etc for tougher content.

Full exotics (not magic find gear, carrion gear with enhancements)
Fractal Level 8
100% World Exploration
400 Chef and Jeweler
29 years old, full time job, wife, no kids
Play about 25 hours a week currently
Dungeons most often run: CoF, TA, FotM

I’m finding it too hard to find groups in my current guild, and pugging a lot of the hard dungeon content is really starting to wear on my sanity. I’m looking for a large guild that likes to primarily run dungeons and PvE content, that likes to coordinating using voice chat during difficult or timing sensitive content. I’m the kind of guy that doesn’t mind helping someone with a lower fractal level, helping out someone get their story mode for a dungeon, etc when I don’t need it, and I expect the same from a guild. Transferring servers is not a problem.
