I’ve decided that I’m going to post on this thread every day that I have a problem. I think that the more attention (although there already is quite a lot) we bring to this problem, the sooner it will get addressed. So, today I was able to log in for approximately 5 minutes, chat and then proceeded to be disconnected almost immediately thereafter and every other attempt I made to log in again. I think I’ll personally submit a ticket for support soon if this there is no general response made by an ArenaNet official concerning this issue. I think it is something that is a higher priority than world updates and dynamic events. How are we, the paying customers, supposed to enjoy these aspects if we can not even expect a stable server to host our playing?
Game has been completely unplayable for me since my initial post on June 25. I was able to log in for about 4 minutes to complain to my guild, but then I was booted again. Enclosed the error message. It’s not the usual one that starts with a 7. (Should I make a new post concerning this one?)
Apparently there are GLOBAL issues with connection and server stability. I honestly doubt it has much to do with the population as I have played for nearly whole entire days at the dead of night, break of dawn, and height of noon and had smooth gameplay. Even today things were fine all day until about 11pm EST when I tried to log in.
Generally, I’m disappointed with my findings and hope this is a smaller issue that it seems. Why continue with content updates if the servers are experiencing high disconnects, sever lag and issues with connecting and REMAINING connected.
And it also appears that there has been no major address by the ANet community on this issue. My esteem for the company has dropped a little tonight.
Still have high hopes and love the game…Just disappointed.
Well I just posted on this sadly…I’ve never had this issue and now since the patch I’m able to log in just fine but I get instantly kicked every time. I see players online and friends in the list but I get a login error once I move around a bit. I’ve played all day and at many different times throughout the day including dead hours and peak times and have not experienced what I am experiencing now.
I recently updated to the most recent build today and things were fine immediately thereafter. I then logged off for a few hours and now every time I log in I AM able to get past the character selection screen into the actual game.
Once ingame HOWEVER, I can only briefly see movement and things as normal but then I am instantly kicked from the game after a few seconds with the mention that the game is unable to connect to the login server. This has happened over twenty times repeatedly this evening since I tried logging in again. I have never had any other issues with my hardware or gameplay before (other than serverwide instances). Is anyone else experiencing this?
