Guild Wars 2

This ‘feature’ patch seems lacking in my opinion. Sure it brings to the table what was asked for… but all too late for me to be ogling over it. Just quite a few fixes that should have been rolled out in a continuous fashion long ago. Plus I feel the wardrobe was done in the wrong way or rushed. Taking away my town clothes equals a no-no.

To the point of the thread.
When will there be an actual ‘content’ patch? Will they be doing the same thing and waiting until they feel like they have enough content for a hyped release, or release small things here and there with living story?
They claim to be working on these things, but it’s been quite along time since I’ve heard anything. I have a lot of hope for this game, but I’m prepared for the worst after all this shoulder checking between the developers and players…
And if a Developer does respond. I would appreciate a professional attitude and a clear answer.

Although Johanson couldn’t commit to a timeframe, new weapon types and expansion of current types to more classes is absolutely in the works. In the meantime, there will be new Legendary weapons based on current weapon types

but we absolutely are going to do sweeping new features that you would traditionally only get in expansions – large regions, content and progression additions to your characters in the form of growth and professions and races. Those are all things that you will see in the lifespan of Guild Wars 2

Content within a game changes all the time, especially in MMOs. It is not theft. Period.

If you want to try and sway the opinion of a developer, accusing them of a felony probably isn’t going to tilt their ear your way.

Did you even read what he commented on entirely? He acknowledged the very fact against what you say. He’s right in the regards that it just feels morally wrong with what they’re doing to the minority of the players.

I rarely post but this is just too much of a problem for me to ignore.

I play this game to dress up for the most part. Removing my option to do so makes me less inclined to play. Let’s not forget that when I purchased town clothes from the gem store I thought I was purchasing what they are; town clothes… not tonics or ‘all-or-nothing’ costumes. I can tell you I will be saving my money for different purposes than this game if I can’t be sure of what I’m buying.

I’m willing to overlook the fact that it will cost an exorbitant amount of gold that you tacked on to wardrobe use. You are just masking the rest of the wardrobe behind a pay wall. Maybe you guys could scale the cost of the wardrobe with total account character level? Not everyone is level 80 and rolling in gold. Just something to think about.

But essentially removing town clothes is taking away from people; not adding a feature

I want to mix and match and dye my town clothes. Just like my armor.
Please reconsider what would be an amazing feature.

Last note… would it not be easier and more beneficial to just adjust the feature rather than be willing to refund all these gems?

My girlfriend and I would like to join a guild that’s primarily focused on PVE. WvW is fine but we don’t do much PvP.

One of the main things we’d like to get out of the guild is a friendly atmosphere full of people that play the game for fun.

If you do Guild Missions it will also help decide who we join as well!

p.s. Can you earn Guild Commendations guesting on a different server? We’d like to stay in IOJ though

I’ve noticed a problem with the armor combination of the Iron Legion Breastplate and Barbaric Plate legs. I’ve only found it recently while wielding a staff. But I went through my old screens and it was there too.
I have no connection between my torso to the bottom half of the character model. Most noticeable when wielding weapons or moving at all.
