I would only consider Runes of the Mesmer for lockdown builds. For a shatter build there is a wide variety of better runes, for example the mentioned strength (or rage) or traveler or basically anything giving power/precision/ferocity with a useful #6 bonus.

Thank you for the advice ill have to save up some gold but ill try the strength and see how it goes!:)

I think you’d be better off with Runes of Strength or Rage and grabbing Ether Feast.

Dont really see this very often but haven’t had any issues fighting other Mesmers. I use this.
