I played 10 rounds of ranked hoping I’d get into stronghold before I quit last night. Hadn’t realized the mode was disabled till I got home from work today. ><
Those rounds gave me my reminder why I am a fan of Stronghold. I don’t know why but I’ve found I get grouped with more polite people who communicate in stronghold than I’ve had luck with conquest. Hoping for a quick fix so I can get back in that mode.

Flashy attacks are (were?) a big reason I picked Ele as my main. This was a horrible, and horribly POINTLESS, change.

What problem, exactly, did the visual nerfs fix?

-Bosses are not magically more visible now.
-Auras are LESS visible in team fights. Hooray, counterplay! /s
-Fireball looks like I’m chucking godkitten streamers at my enemy.
-What’s next? OOH can I have invisible Meteor Shower? Maybe THAT would actually be worth it, for the lulz if for nothing else.

Very discouraging. Time for a break from this game.

I try to avoid looking at patch notes until after I play the game (I like to be surprised)
After the first visual patch I was saddened, after this one I’m at a loss of words. I mainline Ele for the flair and explosions. At my shop I showcase how flashy and smoothly the game ran during the Escape from L.A. event when showcasing parts for pc builds. (amongst other games I play)
I can’t put words to how I feel every time I lose a bit more of my WOW that looks amazing factor, it’s highly discouraging me from playing as much as I want to since I like to play everything on ultra at 1440p. (Thank you Radeon for finally letting me play that way with my rig)

I had severe issues with 15.7 the other day. I had to do a complete purge of the drivers and installed the previously stable drivers just to get things running. Still having hiccups but the game is playable with 15.15 drivers.

I’m holding out hope that they get released this upcoming weekend to coincide with Eastern Orthodox Easter. At least that’s my private hope lol

I was looking through the forums and I couldn’t find a solution so I thought I’d post this.
On the top left of the screen where normally it says Guild Wars 2 instead it has some foreign script foreign to me at least

Is this a issue with the client or am I making a mountain out of a skritt hill?

Sign me up and soar away! FYI it looks amazing with how the toons hold the witches broom with this update. Was hovering around without touching the ground. Loved it!

After the patch, things have improved but they still aren’t where they were before hand.

During a full night in the silverwastes I was getting on average 20-25fps yesterday, and during battles it would drop to 5-9 fps on default camera settings on highest graphics quality. During loading screens its hitting 50-60fps.

I’m not sure if it’s my system or something else.

Specs are
i7-4790k
gigabyte z97-soc-force
16gb ddr3-1600
gtx 780 sc 4gb
with the game on a solid state by itself.

Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated since I’m pulling my hair out at this point. Though I do have to say since the fix the game is at least playable in regards to fps.
I will be able to respond in about 11 hours or so (heading out to work)

Yep, with your pc they can’t say that you have a “bad system” is just a problem of the game, I just wait that they resolve early…

Tbh I made a coin flip on going with that or shelling out the extra 600 cash to go with a I7-5930k and 16gb of ddr4-2100. Would’ve been soooo angry had that coin flip had gone the other way.

I had just finished building my new rig when the patch released ><
Originally had a I7-940 with 8gb ddr3-2000, and a gtx-780 sc.
Now my rig has a I7-4790k with 16gb ddr3-1600 and the same gtx-780sc.
On the old rig I could peak around 55-60 fps on ultra settings.
Now I’m peaking around 30ish fps on high. On Ultra I’m only getting maybe 15-25..

Before I saw this thread I was about to tear apart the new rig and rebuild the old one. So I want to say to everyone who’s posted here. “Thank you for posting this information and preventing me from a few hours of unneeded running around”

I’d be willing to pay what I paid for the original game. That be a $150. But only if it came with another Statue or something to keep Rytlock company.

If you have a spare guild slot open, create a new guild for yourself. Go to the guild upgrades and get enough influence to buy the 50 slot tab for 2-5gold of influence. 25gold for the 100 slot bag after all is said and done. Just be sure not to quit that guild with only yourself in it for than the guild bank gets destroyed also.

I had the same thought at first too. But really it seems more that they have become intensely connected war buddies. And for Rox in particular that has really deep meaning. In fact, I have a feeling it’s much deeper for her than any romance would be.

As a gladium, Rox has one of the more heartbreaking stories in the game. Her official origin story: Rox’s Tale

She explains what being a gladium means to her when you first encounter her in the game too:

It’s somebody who survived when the rest of her warband didn’t. A leftover, you might say.

Survivor’s guilt for sure- but it goes beyond that too. Rox lost everything. Everything.

Imagine that your coworkers are also your family, your high school clique, and your graduating class from Navy SEAL school. Take every little moment of human connection you’ve ever had with another person- fighting back against a bully, eating dinner together, talking philosophy as you’re coming of age, venting about your boss, and put all those moments into maybe 5 or 10 people.

That only begins to cover what a warband is to a Charr.

Now imagine if those people all died at once, instantly and senselessly. Imagine that even your freaking pet died with them. Rox clawed at the rock they were under until her hands were bloody, then passed out from exhaustion- and I have to say, I think that was a pretty tame response. Every important connection in her life was instantly and permanently severed, and for the first time in her life she was truly, utterly alone. Charr age is usually measured in months, not years, when they begin to meet the people who will eventually become their warband.

After that kind of loss you can see how she would connect to someone like Braham. Since her tragedy he appears to have been the first person that took her seriously and both accepted her help and protected her. (Well, arguably Rytlock takes her seriously too- but ok now, she helped take out freaking Tequatl as ordered and that apparently wasn’t enough for him. Seriously, what does it take to please that guy? He has got to be her father. It’s that, or he’s an epic jerk to her for no good reason.) He acted like the warband, the family and friends and more, that she lost. He is her way of starting to rebuild all of that.

So I think whatever she feels for Braham is, for a Charr, something infinitely more deep than what she would feel for a love interest.

I forgot where it’s been stated but Rytlock is her older half brother and that’s why he’s been so tough on her. It’s the same like in real life, your going to treat your family tougher than others since if they fail it reflects badly on you also.

As the title states, I’m trying to find anywhere that can make Frames for the Artwork that came with the Collector’s edition of the game when it came out. I finally have some wall space in my room, but after going to 10 different stores that sell frames I just can’t find any without having to cut the art to fit Which I refuse to even contemplate

If anyone has any advice or knows someplace in the NY/LI region I’d be really grateful if it works out (gold/items)

I have to agree to the O.P. on this, many times I want to look at my stats on the fly, now I have to dedicate time to doing that. Hopefully the Devs will come up with some way to rearrange things and make it a little bit more user friendly.

For the last few weeks my gw2.exe randomly crashes on a multitude of maps. I’ve experienced the error on Tequatl, Eternal Battlegrounds, Jungle Wurm, and while randomly exploring. These problems started happening right around the last patch when we destroyed the Breachmaker… The last three times has been when I’m around 30+ players but they are not on screen but behind me more often than not.

My system stats have been the same as they have been since launch except I threw a gtx770 into it in place of my original gtx660 that died while playing this game.

I can’t reproduce this error since I have no clue what is causing me to get dropped from the game. And I couldn’t find other posts with a similar problem. If there is please merge this with them. Any advice, suggestions, fixes are greatly appreciated.

SBI usually has 1-2 good runs right after reset each day. Though I haven’t attempted the last two weeks due to work so it may have changed.

Just saw the Scarlet hologram in EB offshoot also. Did a spit take and wound up getting ganked> <
This is going to be interesting.

Same problem here on Storm Bluff Isle…. We got people trying all the different events in the off chance it might fix it but it’s been at least an hour and a half since reset and nothing yet..

The sound effect of Teq jumping on the rocks is playing somewhat randomly when one goes to the border of the map where it’s spawned. Go under neath the surface and you can hear it.

On Isle of Janthir and our guild encountered the problem also. Additionally the npc that was central to the mini dungeon is dead and can not be revived.
