Missing Glow after Makeover Kit

In CoF right now. I am confirming that I am glowing. So there is nothing wrong with using the Total Makeover Kit. Just the preview is messed up.

Shame I had to use 2 kits tho…

I think you forgot to change the glowing setting, because it has no glowing by default.

Thanks for your input QtHuynh. This led me to use another makeover kit to see if my problem was caused by user error. And I found something interesting.

When using the Makeover Kit, the glow portrayed on your new character is stuck at the same intensity as the character you were changing from.
EX: My “old” sylvari had the glow effect set to max. So when I previewed my “new” sylvari, the glow was previewed as max glow, even thought the slider was set to 0 by default.

When using my first Makeover Kit. I relied on the preview, and thought the slider was set at max already. Upon using this second Kit, my character had NO glow in the preview. Leading me to believe that I saved with first Kit with no glow.

So, this is just more proof that the preview for glowing is messed up. And a reminder not to rely on your character’s preview model.

*I haven’t played at night yet. Once I do, i’ll post again to verify that I see the glow.

After using a “Total Makeover Kit” my Sylvari no longer glows…
(I changed gender/color/glow/pretty much everything)

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. OR if someone can verify that they still have their glow after using the Makeover Kit???

Message to Arena: When jumping into the water. During the time it takes for my character to equip her underwater helm. I have been able to see the glow effect that I designed when I used the Kit. However, once the helm is equipped, the glow gets canceled and does not return.

Progression is necessary. If I ever feel that I’ve beaten this game then I will stop playing it.
Adding more rewards and goals for players is a great idea, and is expected from an mmo.

Plus… ITS FREE! Arena is giving us new content for no extra cost…

I see no reason to listen to the QQ from people who cry about getting free stuff. They should have just paid me the $60 and I would have handed them a crossword puzzle.

It already does bleed.

Thanks for that. The skills app I was referring to for information needs to be updated. I’ll correct my post.

One of the main problems I see with the other warrior weapons (besides GS) is a lack of direction. Instead of having weapons like the sword and bow be useless in every build. I would like to see them changed into stronger weapons for non-crit+burst builds.

For example: Switch around the mechanics of Bleeding Shot (rifle 1) with Dual Shot (bow 1). So I’m not stacking bleeds with a rifle, and doing rapid “white” damage with a bow.

Changes like these can help define weapons, and give more weapon sets a spot in the meta.

(Yes, I described the sword as useless. If you replaced all 4 of the MH sword abilities with Bull’s Charge, 9/10 people would not know the difference. The sword is a lackluster utility skill… not a weapon) although, the 8sec cooldown is nice
