Guild Wars 2

Yesterday I had the unfortunate experience of reading an utterly disgusting thread; where supposed members of the non-existent competitive scene attacked the one player, who I believe deserved it the least, sadly I didn’t have a chance to reply to that thread yesterday, that thread seems to be deleted now and rightfully so.

Xeph, I just wanted to say that I can’t speak for the rest of the community, but please don’t get discouraged by what those people said, because I highly doubt they share a single brain cell between the lot of them. I have not seen a single one of them make a single constructive post to keep the community going, and its sad that they can barely see the fact that the community isn’t missing more hate or whine threads; its missing people who are trying to revitalize the community and keep it going.

Reading your posts and the amount of effort that you are putting into the community, I just want to make sure that it doesn’t stop and I just wanted you to know that we appreciate it, I was there in your teamspeak when you were trying to find everyone teams and looking through the thread with them trying to match them up with other people. I can honestly say that none of those players who attacked you are capable of doing; because the difference between someone who takes action and one that sits on his kitten all day and whines, is as clear as day and night. Instead of making more hate threads Xeph has given us a way to work with what little we have and has encouraged the community to try and weather the storm.

I remember in one beta weekend where Xeph was in ts with a bunch of community members for 8 hours, helping with builds and playing tournaments.
People can claim as much as they want that I am trying to kiss his kitten but in reality I just have a lot of respect for the guy, and I just don’t understand the approach that was taken by the people who are meant to be the pros of the community, it was espically disgusting to read the posts that danto made, if you guys thought you were doing the community any favours with your posts yesterday than you are sorely mistaken.

All in all, all I just wanted to say was thank you Xeph, for all the things you’ve done I will continue to support you and the rest of team paradigm, and please don’t give up!

Hey I know that these posts are always overdone on forums, and that people always claim that people vote for their friends; but hey they are always fun to read and it brings attention to the slowly dying competitive player base.
Anyways I will begin with my nominations.

Guardian: N/A (There aren’t that many Guardians streaming and none of them have really stuck out for me I would’ve nominated Azshene but I think that the quit the game)

Elementalist: (Phantaram) I always thought that elementalist was a below average class that was only viable as a bunker spec, but tbh after watching him play I completely changed my mind, I always watch his vods on twitch whenever they are available.

Engineer: (Teldo) I’ve watched a lot of streamers but I think that teldo is by far one of the most talented players on there, watching him do 2v1’s and 3v1’s and constantly come out on top has inspired me to play engineer not to mention he is one of the most entertaining players to watch, love him and xeph together such an epic duo!

Mesmer: (Xeph) I love watching him play mesmer granted, really learnt a lot about portal usage from him and he is just flat out godly on mesmer, I think his earlier videos on youtube brought a lot of attention onto the class, sadly he doesn’t stream enough!

Necromancer: (Xelfer) I really like it when I watch people play unconventional builds and make them work, really shows how talented he is, really love his stream!

Ranger: (Arsanist) I’ve never really seen him stream, but I’ve played against him in game awesome player that has the sickest builds on rangers, he really makes it work for him.

Thief: (Lowel) He was streaming on release but I don’t know why he stopped, its really entertaining to watch an awesome thief in action and I got to steal all his builds and use them!

Warrior: N/A (None really stand out to me, still on the look out cause I believe the class has a lot of potential)

I know a lot of people might flame me for posting this thread, but I just really wanted to nominate these people because they have given me endless hours of entertainment and although I will never really be competitive at this game I want it to succeed in that field, so feel free to nominate who you think is the best of each class or your favorite, and
help bring attention to the competitive players of guild wars 2!
