Well, I play thief… in order to cloak and hit backstab in the back I need to run around the enemy with keyboard. And I fail to hit in the back with double damage most of the time.
With point-and-click this is just 2 clicks. 1st click to get to the side and 2nd to get to the back.
I don’t mind it either if it’s optional, but it really doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. Movement is everything in GW2’s combat, and there’s no way you’d not accidentally move while trying to aim an AoE with the mouse or select a Volatile Bloom on TA. Honestly, I think they’re saving you a lot of frustration.
Well, in L2 any new movements are disabled if Shift pressed. For example you stand on the edge of a rock, hold shift and pick targets, shoot – you don’t move and don’t fall.
If you run and press shift, direction of your movement is saved and isn’t affected by clicks on the ground/players/etc.
Hope you get it.

I find point and click much more convenient than current wasd/lmb+rmb.
And it will be great to see it in game one day.
Current movement controls is the only thing in the game that really annoys me. I played L2 before. I think that a number of ex-L2 players experience same problem.
