@shadowpass him being blind is the whole point of the eyepatch. Real warriors don’t need eyes. It’s all just indiscriminate bashing and chopping.

Here’s my norn warrior.

With the new wardrobe system I finally moved away from plain T3 cultural and mixed a set to try and make a Tyrian Space Marine.

1) WoW is indeed the game it is today because of its expansions, and gw2 should definitely have at least one to keep people interested for an extended period of time. But people seem to have forgotten that WoW didn’t get it’s first expansion for 3 years and vanilla WoW got boring after the first year too. An expansion will likely come but gw2 is still a baby in the grand MMO race.

2) I am not owed anything by anet, least of all an apology and as an avid player of the original guild wars for 8 years I would consider myself a fan and therefore appreciate if you wouldn’t say we ALL are disgusted. I paid for guild wars 2 as it was when it released. I got my retail moneys worth out of the core game by having played it for over 1000 hours. That’s more than many games I’ve paid more for.

If you have an issue with Scarlet that’s perfectly understandable, but stop saying its a fault with the game we all paid for because it isn’t. As you said you paid for a game about elder dragons and that is what you got. All these LS updates are just bonus free content whether we enjoy them or not.

@ Dark Magi I’m going to retract my original theory and create a new one based around Scarlet being the reason why Teq got stronger too.

I can’t be the only one who thought that the Tower of Nightmares was way too obvious even when stealthed. We were definitely meant to find it. And at the top Scarlet says that we couldn’t have played our roles better if we’d tried. I think it was a distraction.

The assault on dragon bash and the queen’s jubilee again were going to get noticed because it was an interruption of a revel. Why attack something so heavily guarded and expect to win?

We also have to remember that Scarlet is supposed to be a genius and also know the outcome already based on what she saw in the eternal alchemy. In other words she already knows that everything she does is going to result in us stopping her.

So why is she doing it all? To keep us distracted. I believe she’s doing something big. So big that it would be easily detected or outright seen if we had the chance to stop and look. So where can this be? Well if she doesn’t want us to see it then it must be in the one place the LS hasn’t taken us. Orr.

If we are to believe that all the LS is connected and also ties into our personal story at some point then it’s true that Scarlet must have made Tequatl stronger and also that in some way the Elder Dragons will factor into it at some point.

So she’s doing something big that can be easily seen requiring all these pointless distractions, it’s in Orr, and Tequatl is being strengthened by it. She’s resurrecting Zhaitan as a steam dragon or Mecha Zhaitan.

As implausible as it is, it does tie everything so far together.

Sorry to anyone who wants to kill Scarlet (everyone?) but that privilege is reserved for another.

See I remember Nightfall and when arenanet knew how to tell a compelling story and I choose to believe that they are going somewhere with this. Here is my theory about where is might go.

If we are to believe that Scarlet and her deeds will truly tie into the personal story and indeed bring about the next vital point in the story of Tyria then surely an elder dragon must at some point get involved.

I think that all of this chaos Scarlet is causing will be having some pretty big impacts on the magical energy (perhaps corrupting it) that the dragons awoke to feed on. They’ll tire of allowing her to live and simply swoop down to stop her. We won’t be allowed to do it, we probably won’t even be given an explanation as to her motives or goal, she’ll simply be eaten and that’s that.

Really the only way I can see myself accepting Scarlet as having had any lasting impact in the story at this point is if she is used as a Segway into the next Elder Dragons appearance.

My two cents.
