I have the same problem and I have tried shutting down F-secure and firewall and allowed incoming and outcoming ports 80,443,6112 and 6600 and ran it as admistator.
Please help me. I have tried to solve this like 9-10 hours yesterday and getting frustrated. One thing that I can’t understand is that how I can’t install it from CD’s? I haven’t had any problems with any other game so far so don’t know what you did here wrong.

Same problem here. Finally bought the game yesterday and started to installing it from CDs and downloads up to 10143Kbs and then shut down and comes back up and then it reads 0KB (0KB/s)….

I have windows 7 and I have shut down my firewall and my f-secure is off. I have allowed every port that needs to be allowed. I have checked many websites and have tried to figure this out for like 7-8 hours and still I can’t install it. The biggest thing that I’m confused is that how the heck I can’t install it from cd!? The installation from CD have worked on every single game that I have ever played so this is some serious problem from Arenanet and I’m starting to get reallykitten off because of this. Setup from your website doesnt work ether so come oon guys. FIX THIS NOW!!
