Lag just started for me about 2 days ago on Jade Quarry.

I was farming CoF p1 with a few guildies, and the skill lag was unbearable. Couldn’t even auto attack without getting that nasty error 7. Thought it was just my internet, so I stopped playing and hoped it would sort itself out. Logged on the next day to find that the lag had actually gotten worse than before, where everyone was skipping along and I was running into mobs without even knowing. I stopped playing and logged in again at the end of the day to see if it was still happening. I was alright for about an hour after I logged on, then I was constantly getting kicked off the game. Once again, error 7. This is not my internet, because I was on Teamspeak with my guild, and was not dropping or lagging from it.

I am currently logged in right now, and I am standing in LA spamming my auto attack. Each time I do, I get a 2 second skill delay, sometimes even longer. I’ve disconnected a total of 6 times within the past half hour. I can’t stand in the high populated places of LA now, because I get errored out.

I have ran speed tests on my internet, it seems to be fine. I have tried running the game as administrator, port forwarding the game to port 80, -repairing the game, and no luck. The only thing I have not tried is messing with the router, which I will be doing later today.

Hopefully someone can find a fix for this. I’m still staying optimistic! :/

Hey all,

Just adding my name onto the long list of people who are encountering this same problem as I am.

Before the build released on September 18th, I had no problems connecting/playing for long periods of time. After the build was released, I started encountering the same error code. I would be playing, and next thing I know, my character has frozen, and wondered off into a group of monsters. It also happens in towns and the Overflow district. I will get disconnected randomly.

At first, my friends and I thought it was just the connection on my side, because it would sometimes kick me off of Ventrilo as well. However, my Internet connection has not changed in the month that the game has been out for. This means that the problem lies on ANet’s end, not mine.

As of today, I was able to log on briefly, but was shortly kicked off after about 10 minutes. It has now gotten to the point where I cannot even load into a zone before I receive the error. I have also been getting error 58 as well, even though my connection is fine and my firewall always allows GW2 through. This is incredibly frustrating, because the game is basically unplayable for me (and a whole lot of other people).

All we can hope for is for ANet to hear us out and come up with a build that will solve this. :/
