Not really no.
I’m 100% rabid, and have played that way pretty much since launch. I guess you can say I’ve taken it to the extreme combining it with a 0/30/20/20/0 build. Not gonna claim it’s the best way to go or anything, but certainly haven’t got problems killing stuff be it 1v1, 10v10 or ZvZ.
Dhuumfire sounds fantastic from a Cond. perspective. Pity I can’t bring myself to put 30 pts in Spite.
Well there’s Foot in the Grave and Plague. The former not half bad. Plague is fine for pushing through stuff, or getting into a sieged keep. (and a lot of other stuff, but that’s besides the point)
Can’t have it all you know? And sure, positioning is important. Once you get sucked into the void, often times it’s game over.
Can’t say I feel OP, but I ain’t complaining either. (so I probably am :p)
I almost fell down my chair with all the necro goodies in that patch. And yet here we are complaining?! Jeez.
Ok guys lets split up into 5-man groups only
Now there’s an idea I can get behind!
Nerf them any more and they might as well /sit every time they see an enemy player and wait to die.
Now there’s an idea. I could live with that.
I’m seriously flabbergasted by the amount of necro whine on this forum.
Played a rabid necro since launch, and tbh I’m just happy I’m not getting nerfed!
Not counting the stealth classes* I’d happily engage any class in a 1v1.
- Usually have problems with mesmers and CnD thieves. But don’t everyone?
No point in complaining about blobbing really, when the game so blatantly caters to that approach.
Remove the AoE cap allready!
And add to that how well they synergize with other classes, particularly Thief. A well-specced condition necro + a clusterbombing thief = blindness galore. Very practical in almost every setting imaginable.
Short answer: No!
I’m shocked at the topic tbh having played necro since launch. Could it be that our mediocre ability to deal with stationary targets like burrows and such is the reason?
I’ve spewed my part of culling whine in this thread, but in all fairness I thought I would mention that at times the new system actually have been decent for me. When running guild group and fighting large amounts of enemies, it seems to be working ok’ish.
Stopped trying to solo/small man though. Usually that’d be how I’d start the day. Couple of solo/duo runs in the afternoon until GG materializes. Often times I had some of my best WvW experiences like this. No more. It’s simply impossible to gauge numbers in the current state of things, and very frustrating to find the duo you engaged actually was a 10 man warband.
Whatever. Have fun with the game if you can. (not being sarcastic)
I’m done with GW though.
Everyone voting that it is worse I guarantee are running this game on sub-par systems. This new culling system is a vast improvement and for those of us playing this game on higher end systems
Well, continuing on your presumptuous line of reasoning, I guarantee that everyone that’s happy with the current state of things like to play the game hiding in their 50 man zergballs, roflstomping the entire map while stroking their kitten with their silly channeled-while moving-aoe crap abilities.
So there!
Yeah, I’ve been on the fence about whether or not I actually enjoy playing this game last few weeks. Thoroughly enjoyed WvW for the first few weeks, but as of late things have gotten a bit stale. This latest “fix” however was the final nail in the coffin for me. Completely unplayable from my PoV.
