Respawn rate?

It was Ascalon City Ruins in the Plains of Ashford. Room with around 10 mobs, a veteran and a small small “boss” type. Mobs would respawn way quicker than I could clear them!

Wrong forum section? The only sections I see are: Crafting, Dynamic Events, Lore, Personal Story, Dungeons, Audio, Black Lion Trading Co, Suggestions, Players helping Players and Guild Wars 2 Discussions. Which would this topic fall under? :S

Respawn rate?

Recently bought GW2 and I’ve been enjoying the game so far. However respawn rates seem to be ridiculously high, I’m on Fissure of Woe server.

I’ve been attempting to get to a skill point area for a long time but the mobs are spawning in around 20 seconds, meaning clearing a big room of mobs impossible.

Are respawn rates really not adjusted for lower population servers, or adjusted dynamically depending on players in the region?

Also I have an i7-2600k overclocked to 4.5GHz and an HD7970 overclocked to 1125/1575 yet my fps is much lower than it should be even in low population areas Poorly optimized game?

GW2 keeps having 10FPS and less

My fps is nowhere near as low as 10, however it’s still less than it should be. I get around 40fps in the starting area with no other players around, gpu usage fluctuates a lot.

I get some coil whine from my gpu in some games however v-sync usually stops it as the gpu isn’t under much strain. However in GW2 it seems to exacerbate the problem and it screams at me It would be ok, except it’s so loud that people on Skype with me can hear it.

I can understand getting around 40fps in WvW battles, but if my fps is so low in starting areas, it’s bound to be horrifically bad in those large scale battles.

I’m using latest driver(non-beta) and I’ve also downloaded the latest application profiles from AMD

Hardware:
-Intel i7 2600k overclocked to 4.5GHz
-HD7970 overclocked to 1125/1575
-16GB 1866 RAM
-running on SSD
